Christensen is performing at a high level since he arrived. At the moment a good signing.
Fixed for you.
They are playing well and look well drilled, although Madrid have been weak since the season restarted.
I think with our run of form and brilliance from players such as Bruno or Rashy, we will beat them.
What takes? You beat Madrid in the Super Cup. Well done. Barcelona win a cup in what's one of the weakest leagues in Europe. Colour me shocked at this very impressive feat.but enough about your horrible takes you just got called out

well if you get wrongfully allowed goals to count for you then sure you can win but I can see why Barca are slightly favoured
should be a fun tie
Nothing wrong about that goal.
Its going to be a interesting match.

Your club won't exist in a couple of years anyway, then you can just go back to supporting Madrid, or wherever Messi goes next.
Calling La Liga one of the weakest leagues in Europe is absolutely ridiculous. I get that the Barca fans on here can be quite, well, creative in the ways they defend their club. But that should provide you with enough material to voice criticism, without needing to claim such absurdities. What takes? You beat Madrid in the Super Cup. Well done. best of luck, you guys have been playing very well lately
There's one Spanish side left in the champions league as compared to 4 premier league sides, 4 Bundesliga sides and 3 Serie A sides. So, I don't see why its such an absurd statement to say that la liga is in a rough patch right now.
I've never met anyone on this forum so insecure about their own team and as easily rattled as you.You were running your mouth about Barca and their fans. Get called out and can’t handle it.
And for One of the weakest leagues in Europe, beating the defending cl champion while united have a woeful record against Spanish teams.
You’re having an absolute mare.
There are many leagues in europe that are much worse than la Liga. Saying it is in a rough patch is fair, but calling it one of the worst leagues in Europe is silly.
I don’t see how that’s obvious. All the User said was that it’s one of the worst in Europe. It’s the fourth best in Europe, at worst. Might be second best. There is just no way or even hidden meaning where the claim is true. It’s just absurd and arrogant. As I’ve already said, there is enough material to go by for criticism of Barca. But this point is not it.He's obviously talking about the big 4. Yes, it is stronger than France or Portugal but that isn't what la liga is compared to, in terms of revenue.
Rashford didn’t touch the ball or any player, he didn’t interfere with the keepers line of sight, Bruno was on side. It was a legitimate goal, stop being salty about your bald god losing against us.well if you get wrongfully allowed goals to count for you then sure you can win but I can see why Barca are slightly favoured

It will be close, because both teams are in a godd run of form, but I’m confident we will beat you.
You got him for nothing 18 months ago. You probably did well to get any kind of fee for him.Looks like Memphis went on a strike this morning to force his exit to Atletico. Barca grants him his wish for a small fee ~€3m according to catalan media + we save us his salary for half a season. Together it should be around €10m the club saves for giving him away half a season before his contract runs out and we get nothing. Those €10m should ease the spanish ffp situation a bit and help to register at least Gavi as a first team player.
It's an okayish deal. Xavi didn't play him anyways and the team doesn't need an unhappy player to sour their good spirit right now. What I don't like is, that we give Atletico again a player for a very cheap price.
Why post in the Barca thread? He is no longer on the teamAlves acccused of sexual assault, I always thought of him as a cnut, but he resulted to be a worse human being than I previously considered.
Because he is a Barcelona legend, and because I can’t create threads yet.Why post in the Barca thread? He is no longer on the team
I don't know if he is guilty or not. But we shouldn't judge others until they are proven guilty. Why post in the Barca thread? He is no longer on the team
Here's the full analysis by MD analyst Marçal Lorente, who's article was shared by Tebas. Translated from Spanish so, can be a bit jarring.
"Why can't I sign or register after having deposited 740 million with 4 levers? The problem began in the full season of Covid (20-21), in which all the clubs, and especially Barça, suffered a collapse in their income but took measures to mitigate the losses with salary cuts, transfers or asset sales. . However, Laporta did not fully do it and closed with 487 million losses, 244 were voluntarily inflated according to the auditor of some disgruntled players (others had been revalued) and provisioning for legal proceedings. At the same time, he gave away the greatest asset, Messi, of whom he said in the campaign that "Messi is not the problem, our studies show that he generates much more than what he charges, he contributes a third of the club's income." In other words, he dispensed the club with 300 million income when Laporta needed it most.
One day it will be known why in 24 hours Laporta went from having an agreement to renew him to letting him go to PSG, when there were 23 market days left and Leo was not asked, no more effort.
Those 487 million losses have weighed down Barça's salary limit. In the following seasons, according to the annual report, 2021-22 presented 98 million profits, but without the 266m from the lever, the result of proper management would be 168 million losses. In the current season, income of 1,255 million is expected, including a lever of 400m. Without this, income would be 855 million against expected expenses of 1,065m. In other words, 210 million ordinary management losses, which added to the 168m of last season give 378 million losses in 2 years. If we add the 487 of the 20-21 season, there are 865 million lost in the last 3 years. A large part of the extraordinary income (levers) has been to compensate them. Instead of reducing the high wage bill, it has increased by 27%, Raphinha (65M) and Ferran Torres(55M),various substitutes and the pending wages of players that are no longer at the club.
On the other hand, ordinary income (without levers), which should have increased, has fallen by 14%, from 990M in the 2018-19 season to 855M in the current season. Barça, which was the club with the highest income in the world in recent years, is now the seventh, according to the Deloitte report, largely due to playing in the Europa League these last two years. In short, expenses have increased, income has decreased and the levers have been to offset ordinary losses and to pay for bad signings. The league no longer allows the income from selling future assets (levers) to be calculated at once, but must be divided by the years for which they have been sold. The league tells Barça that if you lose 865 million in 3 years, you have exceeded the salary limit, and the levers are no longer worth it to cover ordinary losses, you must reduce your salary mass by 200 million, which is now 656m. That means, not signing players but selling players in June. Otherwise the viability of the club will be at risk."

Think its going to be a borderline boring game. Was thinking how hard can it be to deal with Lewandowski and Dembele when were managing quite well against Haaland, KDB, Foden and Mahrez or the Arsenal equivalent. Don't see who's going to supply Lewandowski with Dembele out. Eriksen probably being out is going to drive us further towards a more defensive, counter attacking set up with a low scoring attack against a low conceding defence.Dembele injured for 4-5 weeks. During this period Barcelona will probably play with Gavi on the left.
With this tactical system Barcelona has controlled the games better and the other wingers are not in their best form.

I'm not that confident to be honest. Ten Hag has made a decent team just by getting us organised and coherent for the first time in a million years but theres loads of holes and shortcomings, that are just ok. Schedule is wearing us down so I just think there'll be a level of team that will beat us over two legs, we just wont have the energy and legs to outwork them to bridge that gap. Maybe Barcelona aren't at that level anymore but i think Arsenal will probably beat us if Barca dont.

No offence but I don’t know why I should take you as an authority over Barca financials rather than articles like these by those who do their research? The economic balance of Barcelona I have already explained several times. The club already said that last year and this the club would have big losses due to all the contracts that were in place.
Next year the wage bill will fall due to the end of amortizations and players who end up with contracts with very high salaries.
Barcelona will continue to exceed the FFP but that does not mean that they have to sell important players. They will try to sell the ones they do not need and will sign little with the 40% rule.
And the club's viability at risk is a bad joke. That is why Barcelona in March-April will receive financing of €1,500M for the Espai Barca backed by Goldman&Sachs and JPMorgan, in addition to an improvement in the rating soon.
No offence but I don’t know why I should take you as an authority over Barca financials rather than articles like these by those who do their research?
Because you don't know how the Barcelona world works and who the journalist is and therefore they manipulate you and make you believe lies. And now I'm going to explain it to you young padawan.
And now I'm going to talk about who wrote the article (Marcal Lorente) , for those who do not know about the World of Barcelona Football Club.
In Catalonia there is a power war that mixes the political, economic and sports. Laporta and Bartomeu are enemies. Sport is an ally of Joan Laporta and Mundo Deportivo of Bartomeu.
One of the best sports journalists in Catalonia is, without a doubt, Sique Rodríguez. The director and presenter of Què t'hi jugues! At SER Catalunya, and his team, they have been demonstrating the excellent work they do for many years, researching, giving scoops and creating an entertaining and rigorous program on everything that has to do with Barca news and the rest of the teams and sports. In fact, their talent in front of the microphones earned them the Ondas 2021 Award for Best Proximity Radio Program.
One of the pieces of information that they have found out recently and that everyone has talked about and talks about has been about Barça's relationship with the media and payments to different media and journalists. Sique and his team detailed the different income that Josep Maria Bartomeu, when he was president of the Barcelona entity, authorized to pay, explaining that these payments were for the media to publicize the first team and section matches, or ticket sales or merchandising , for example. They did not detect that any of the payments were illegal, but there are surprising ones. Because they verified that there were exchange agreements (without money involved and for advertising in both directions or for tickets to the matches), but also those that do imply an economic payment. And one name stood out from the rest: Marçal Lorente, director of No Concessions at Radio Kanal Barcelona (RKB). A Lorente whom Gerard Piqué baptized as a puppet.
A local radio without an official audience meter, and the most shocking thing is that the agreements are with the company of the journalist Marçal Lorente, and not with the radio station. They were talking about payments of 50,000 euros per year between 2015 and 2020 and 70,000 for the 2020/21 season... That's nothing. Surprising that a journalist received an astronomical sum. Upon learning of this information and the disproportionate amount that the journalist earned privately from Barça de Bartomeu, his station struck him down.
Every Barca or Madrid fan thinks the press are against them. If I followed your logic then a die har Barca fan would be the last person I’d ask about Barca finances?Because you don't know how the Barcelona world works and who the journalist is and therefore they manipulate you and make you believe lies. A very good and informative post! I still hope Bartomeu goes to prison someday.
By the way, we face the blancos in the semi final Copa del Rey. But because they have to play their WC yet, both games are postponed to march and april. In between we have another league clasico, so there will be three clasicos in a short period of time. Let's hope that Dembele will participate in at least 2 of them. Personally I find it ridiculous to leave the semi finals at two games just for money reasons. If you change the format, change it on all tiers.

Its going to be an interesting summer. Even if frenkie was made available for transfer and he agreed to leave the club of his dreams. Gavi, Pedri, Fati? and Stegen from an outsiders perspective must be the unsellable assets. Everyone else is expendable i would presume if the worse came to pass for them this summer.
