Yep, not ready atm to play defensive mid against the top sides but atleast that's a position where he can excel using his quality on the ball once he sorts his defensive game out. I dont see his best use at CB for that very reason. Not solid enough defensively and also a waste of his ball playing skills.

Carvalho recently commented that Mourinho coming to Chelsea would spell the end of his forward dashes.

Have to say I've not paid attention to chelsea this summer, i know you have a lot of AM's like Mata etc, but a proper CM? You have Ramires/Lampard/Obi who play in the '2' behind the 3 AM's. Fab would be good addition to that. Hopefully for us Fab has no love for Mourinho

You say that but I really am surprised you aren't happy to take the gamble on Lukaku, Ba and Torres. I know it's lacking any sort of creative forward but there are so many goals in there, and I think Jose would get the best out of all 3 (yes, even Torres)

It is your mistake, he's excellent. Not the best in the world and there's room for improvement but there's a reason Barca want him and it's not his flowing locks.

I full expect us to reject their bid.

Nice ignore on the Kleberson point, who must have actually been excellent, since United signed him and Brazil capped him, right? That's the basis of your argument, right?

Kleberson obviously played well enough to get the the Brazil side and Fergie was convined he would be good for you. He turned out to be shite which is why he was dumped.

If Luiz got dropped from the Brazil side and was playing in Turkey or the USA then youd' have a point.

Lukaku is raw and promising, but possibly not ready to shoulder the burder of being the number 9 of a top club. Ba is a way off top class and hasn't impressed on his rare outings so far and Torres is a busted flush who averages one league goal in every 7 league matches in a Chelsea shirt. So no, I'm far from happy with those 3 - especially compared to United and City's strikeforces.

Yeah you have been linked with a few, De Rossi as well for one who would be a great signing.

Ayee, I can't see Fabregas coming either and he probably isn't Mourinho's biggest fan. He would be a great signing though, you do have creativity in the AM spots but Fabregas brings so much more than that to centre mid if he can get back to his Arsenal style

I already have a point. Your argument for him not being shite was "You think you know better than Chelsea or Brazil, hahalolzers". The fact that he plays for Chelsea and has been capped by Brazil doesn't prove he isn't shite. Relatively shite players have been capped at International level and played for big clubs before, I gave an example of one who played for the biggest club in England and for the same National side as Luiz. He was shite.

Luiz is a fecking awful centre-half. He's a walking liability and a big curly haired feck.

I'm not sure he'd be an immediate improvement anyway, and would cost you the same you would get for Luiz.

Mangala is physically a beast, and scores some amazing headers, but I see a bit of David Luiz in him - lapses of concentration and adventuring too much in attack. Would like to see him iron it out here.

That said, if selling him would mean we keep Jackson Martinez for a another season then I would in a heart beat. We have 5 CB's so we will definitely sell one of Maicon, Otamendi or Mangala to give some room for Reyes, who wasn't cheap and certainly wasn't bought to be 4th option.
