Australian Open 2011

As much as I hate to say it, but I think your overestimating Federer of today. I really don't think he has it in anymore to blow top 5 players away. Maybe he'll prove me wrong and I'd love for him to.

Depends on what Federer turns up really. Sure he makes a lot of errors but he's yet better than pretty much the entire field bar Nadal and maybe Djokovic.

And Fed's experience would be enough to help him beat Murray in the final. He's still the only person besides Nadal to win a Slam last year and will probably be the only one besides him to win one this year as well.

And that is precisely why he is known as Novak Chokeovic. Plays some absolutely horrendous shots to get broken immediately after breaking.

Djokovic is a loser of the highest order. Mentally he is ZERO.

This is why the likes of Federer and Nadal are a class above these losers.

Well we don't want to go to the topic of where I rate his ability :) But he doesn't seem to be able to bring his best tennis against the better players consistently these days. It comes out for a spurt of 4 games and then disappears and then he makes these random errors out of nowhere.

Again Novak bottles it. Had a great chance to win himself a break back but missed a glorious chance and now he's just going to go into meltdown you have to imagine.

In the US open too all of you kept lamenting Djokovic's choking habit, and he went on to beat Federer. I think you have to understand how difficult it is to play someone like Federer even when he makes errors.

No surprise Federer is 5-2 up when he's cut his unforced errors in half and begun to play more like himself. It's all down to him IMO. How he plays will decide whether he wins the tournament, which is pretty much always the case.

Rubbish from Roger, absolute rubbish. Had the point, but decided to go for a crap drop shot, handing the point to Djokovic.

Bloody hell does anyone want to win this set? Fed broken while serving for set and for ONCE Novak passes him.

Roger should have smashed the ball home at the net rather than the drop shot.

The problem with Djokovic is that he really IS a huge choker. Something just happens to him mentally when the pressure is on him.

Now for the past few games he's had no pressure and he's stepped it up. Now he'll be under pressure to hold and I won't be shocked if he folds.

Well it was a bit low for a smash, but he had Djokovic on the ropes there. Awful game. This Djokovic's match, Federer's not at the races IMO.

You do realize Djokovic's game is naturally going to look worse when Federer raises his right? And that it's easier for him to raise it when Federer is making sloppy errors.

I think Federer is actually going for more drop shots because he's lost faith in his ability to not make errors on his ground strokes.

He's fallen apart at absolutely the wrong time. I never thought I'd get to see Federer look almost bullied by someone like Djokovic. My, how times have changed.

I don't think it's choking from Roger. Just a slow and steady degradation of his game.

Wow Federer is in some serious meltdown right now. From 5-2 down to 6-5 for Djokovic and he'll serve for the set. This will be the ultimate test for him. Can he hold under pressure?

Federer is like a Jekyll and Hide at the moment. One moment he's smacking winners from every part of the court. The next his game falls apart from a 4 or 5 game stretch. Djokovic better hope the latter appears for this game.

Up 5-3, serving for the set, all the momentum with him, crowd murmuring, Novak murmuring about his fragile temperament, and then the ice cold assasin falters...not once, but twice.

Sounds like choking to me, and I'm a Federer fan.

Bottle is something you don't lose IMO. He's always had it. Form is something he's seriously begun struggling with. He's a very beatable player these days. As simple as that IMO.

Incredible set and Djokovic takes it 7-5.

2 sets to love and I'm yet not sure if he'll serve this out

As much as I respect and support Federer, good on Djokovic for showing the fire to come back in that set.

Fed's sort of bottled it but top players all attack Fed's backhand now. As beautiful a shot as it might be, the one handed backhand makes a lot of errors.

In other news Paes and Bhupati in their first Slam back together in the final after beating the number 2 seeds :D

TO play the Bryan bros. now.

Come on Novak, would love to see him against Murray, the Scot might finally have a chance of winning.

Better for Murray should Djokovic win, I think.

Djokovic's ability to grab defeat from the jaws of victory, could see Murray finally win a big one.

Can you imagine if Murray did win, ffs, there would be a bank holiday and knighthood for him

Some of Djokovic's forehands have been orgasmic.

Brilliant game there. Some high quality tennis from both of them.
