Most test teams play with 5 bowlers. Besides, Pathan, Kumble and even Harbijhan can more than hold their own with a bat, it's not like your batting stops at 6.
Aussies have not played for 5 bowlers for ages. In fact unless someone has an allrounder like Flintoff or Kallis, no one plays with 5 bowlers in Tests nowdays.
