Aus v India Test series

You really don’t have a clue do you? They didn’t lose the 1st match by an innings, genius. :wenger:

If there’s any anger it comes from reading your rubbish posts. If you’re going to WUM at least have half a clue on what you’re talking about, please.

We will not lose by an innings defeat, we'll fight bravely and instead lose by ten wickets.

Christ almight fella, India have been smashed 3 out of 3, hardly a howler thinking the first was an innings.

Chill out.

Chill out,

Pretty sure Tabata's an Australian.

Uh oh that's two mistakes in a row by me now.

Pretty nervous how he's gonna react to that.

Cricinfo:

Shaun Marsh must feel like a diabetic man in a sweet shop.

You've just cottoned on? We've been shit 8 months now

I'm tempted to start feeling a bit sorry for Shaun Marsh...

The only downside for the Aussies this series being the top 3, despite the odd score from Warner and Cowan they don't look convincing.

Early days mind.

Ponting is not easily replaced. The openers wouldn't last against the English bowling. They still need a number 3, but Khawaja looks a bright prospect.

So TOI saying that Dravid will retire tomorrow :(
Right time to go but what a legend.

India problems is a lack of renewal. Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman, Sehwag, Dhoni just looks like they are going through the motions.

Add in the way T20 is making batsmen worse, not better and the general decline in interest in tests and its no surprise India has been humbled like this.

I look at Zahir khan and I cant help thinking does he do fitness training? He looks to be carrying at least 2 more stones than he needs.

It would be a shame if India gives up on tests.

Oh and the Aaj Tak's headline(India's best Hindi news channel ) is Doob Maro which in English mean Drown and Die. Well fecking done Aaj Tak.

Aussies compete the whitewash. Hopefully the ODIs are a more competitive series.

Edit: India are 0-8 in their last two test match tours yet they'll only be playing their next test series in September? Surely they should look to play more test games to try to be the best ranked nation again.

Not to worry Indian fans - no away test matches for TWO YEARS.

The Number 1 ranking will belong to India once again in the not too distant future.

Seriously, Bangladesh are shit(home and away) so I can understand them not getting test matches, how does a powerhouse like India not play away test matches for 2 freaking years?

I gather there will be plenty of ODI and T20 matches though....

I guess I'm the only one hoping Tendulkar follows Dravid's lead and does the decent thing by retiring instead of chasing another pointless individual record.

On another note, just saw Kohli's celebration for his 100

Pathetic stuff

Why are you hoping anything VP?
You don't support India, you fecking twat.

He's there on merit. Still looks the best Indian batsman.

The usual bullshit. Tendulkar's not there because of his name. He still looks the batsmen most likely to score the runs.

Regarding the part in bold, you think thats the reason he's still playing? Some of you are really clueless. Had it been the 100th 100 he wanted, he'd have played the recent home ODIs that we've played, dont you think? It was a home series against West Indies of all teams. You'd bet your house on him getting a century in 5 innings at home vs that attack. But he took a rest.

And the celebrations by Kohli werent pathetic at all. He's been under a lot of pressure from the media as well as from the crowds in the ground. Add to that the sledging that he's been targeted with, its no surprise he gave it back. He's that kind of a man, most young ones now are actually. they dont take shit. He got a century and he vented out. Lots of cricketers do.

There is a line between not talking shit and being boorish - it's a line some of the new breed seem to have no idea about.

If some aussie player had given the Indian crowds the finger(like Ishant and Kohli) the Indian media would have gone into meltdown - look at the white bastards disrespecting us. But Indian players do it, and it's all about...look at the new confident India - Go Team India.

Very very parochial coverage.

As for his celebration - surely not a big deal, just a young guy, getting his 1st test century, and that too in a tour where his team have been raped so hard, even Pakistanis are feeling sorry for them.

He's played pretty well(top scorer for India I think) - so just him getting the century monkey off his back, and showing that while everyone else might bend over and take it up the arse, he wasn't going to do the same, at least not so willingly.

Good for him - he'll score thousands of test runs for India, an excellent player.

feck off if you think Sachin is just there chasing some record.

That's just fecking great. Cricket is official dead to me for awhile then. Lovely excuse for the board to do absolutely nothing and claim everything is fine when we batter the lesser teams. In fact, even despite these 8 losses, board members have come up with reassuring gems like 'winning and losing is part of the sport' and 'it's just two series'. you can't judge them on the basis of that'.

Things like this make you fall out of love with the game. And if I'm not mistaken, cricket is on a downward slide in India going by reports. It's pretty obvious to see why.

Figment of your imagination. The press here, atleast the ones that are respected to any degree, reported the incident as it was. A mistake by Kohli and the subsequent 50% fine. They said it was a case of a cricketer reacting to the crowd and he should have known better.

People arent stupid anywhere. They understand what he did was wrong.

The guy i quoted was talking about the century celebration anyways. It was nothing wrong. He was pumped up and vented out. Fine by me.

Varun - WRONG.

I watched an entire panel discussion on NDTV(are they not respected?) - and they had some reporter(don't remember his name now), but this guy has covered Indian tours overseas for x amount of years, and he spent 20 minutes justifying the behavior. He said the players did nothing wrong, and the sanction was unjust.
