You seem to have a very high opinion of everyone's ability to work on a budget. We'll see. ;)

Unless of course you mean there are 3-4 big bucks ones and the sub is a 10M one just like the other 7-8 starters :lol:

Actually, why is 10M the bare minimum? Sure people are allowed to pick Eric for 3M or so?

Not saying it will be easy, but if we do feck up it will be our own faults which at least feels good rather than leaving it to lady luck.

Easiest that way and nobody will be interested in players worth less than 10m anyhow. Even a player like Evra should be valued closer to 15m - and he is going to be one of the worst LB's anybody will pick. So I figured it'd just be unnecessary work to value them all.

300 mill for 12 players is an average of 25 mill per player - which makes it quite similar to an absolute top club in todays football.

Then ask yourself how many top clubs(RM/Chelsea/Barca/Bayern) have starting players who are valued below 10 millions? So with the amount of talent around, 10m will be a good minimum fee to turn things faster and more smooth.

Actually, I was mulling over this 10M minimum and realised of all formats this was the one to put the Dream Team back together again. 7x10M + 2x20M + 190M/3

Indeed. This is hopefully the fantasy draft, where everybody actually gets the teams they fantasize about having but never can get.

I hope we get to see really well picked teams, players that really suit each other.
 
You guys have made this sound so dam complicated. Can someone sum up the last 3-4 pages? Are we voting on which position we start the auction with?

Basically we have summed up all the rules in the OP and we made a trial run. We realized it will be very smooth and easy for everybody so there is no real worries.
 
So if we start with strikers for example, that means you have to make the decision within your first pick whether your team is going to have one or two strikers?

I am actually open to having an all position round open in the end (bar the keeper) if others are for it

Should be, we did a test-run and people were positively surprised. The only thing to remember is that if you are hardly ever online you should make real bids.

I.e if you want Messi but you won't be online for 2 days, then make a real bid for him as high as you can possibly go. Or you'll end up missing out most certainly.

If you miss out on Messi then anyhow, you know that whoever got him will have wasted an incredible sum thanks to your start bid.

Yeah that is the only issue right now. Like I said earlier, we could start but then remove the 12 hour time limit for this round.

That would give all the managers a chance to see the draft is started and they wouldn't be punished for not getting in it earlier.

12 hr limit won' kick in till he is online and makes a bid for this round or everyone has made bid in this round. For next one, there should be no such luxury

Exactly. For this round there is no 12 h deadline. The round ends when everybody are satisfied with their picks. So Polaroid can come in a day or 2 and start making his bids.
