Yeah I've had 2 PMS in 9 days from him, last one on Monday. Unfortunately not much information in them, but I tried to get all his ideas implemented the best way I could.

Cutch, you should remove the opponents bid when you do that. So we dont end up with duplicates.

If people make bids like this it'll be really smooth and we won't have to worry about the time it'll take. The only time we would reach an issue in terms of how long it is taking is when people make ridiculous bid-raises like a start bid on Messi for 10 m.

It is working quite smoothly is it not? With the amount of quality that exists in this draft I don't think we will see infinite bidwars especially considering the max-bid possible is 180. That would then mean you get 10 m each for all your remaining players.

How do we know when everyones stopped bidding? Someone might decide at some point he wants a 3rd winger for 12th man but is there a time you would need to declare this intention by?

If a bid is unchallenged for 12 hours, the bid will be won. That means you can sleep for 10 hours, or go to work for 10 hours with no problems at all. As long as you get online and check the bids by then.

The round ends when everybody are satisfied for the round, if nobody says anything else it ends 12 hours after the last bid is won.

As managers may decide they want Nani for example for 10m after they saw who else got picked.

Yeah it should work fine.

And yes I think you will need to remind people that minimum budget remaining after a round should be 10*minimum number of players to complete that manager's team.

You have 12 hours after the final bid of the round to state this intention and make your bid. During this period I assume we will also be voting for the next position.

If not everybody has voted for positions after 12 hours, we will go with the votes that has come in. After all it doesn't really matter a lot.

Ok cheers. Happy enough i think. We probably don't need to go much further with the trial, sounds reasonable, we'll figure it out between us.
 
We can start now but without the deadline of 12 hours. If you guys are okay with having the first round moving on until we see all managers involved that is okay.

If you prefer waiting until everybody has said they are here and ready then we will do that.

I'm ready to start and don't really care which position to start in. I got an idea in mind but I think I'll probably feck it up.. :drool:
Can I pick Samaras again? He's been my lucky charm last time.

I'd prefer we start after the formal set of rules are placed in the OP covering any potential loopholes and all managers are given time to go through it.

1. Goalkeepers(MJJ)
2. Centre backs
3. Full-backs
4. Central midfielders(NM)
5. Wingers(Pippa)
6. Central attacking midfielders
7. Strikers(Annah)

I can see the problem indeed. Haven't read up, the thread reads like your doing some NASA project and not a draft.

I'd suggest if you are to stick with positions you HAVE to start with wingers as what you do/don't get in that round will pretty much determine the rest of the formation.

Won't be a problem really. The solution was posted further above.

If you want to hide your formation or have tactical flexibility you pick some players who plays multiple positions.

You have one substitute who will be equally priced as some of your starting players (10 m) so he will be an important part of your squad.

With just one flexible pick you can give yourself a lot of tactical freedom. Of course specialized picks like Cafu as a RB instead of Lahm has a slight edge - so there is no right/wrong - up to every manager to do what they think is best.

The only difference between this draft and the normal ones is that here your substitute will actually give you tactical freedom as he will be as good as some of your starters anyhow.
