Auction Fantasy Draft

We will still have the 12th round though. So if you plan and bid well, then you can pick an upgrade up for cheap in the final round.

That is not relevant to what I am saying. Picking someone like Rooney in a round for cheap is a different issue if I have planned properly and saved money for it.

Also I don't think we are having an all position round anyway

But how it fair for someone who paid 80m for FatRonaldo that someone else could get Messi for 40m because someone made a bid for him he can't fulfill

Almost everyone playing agrees with me that you should not allow players to use money they don't have.

As I said it would introduce too much luck into the whole luck which defeats the purpose of open auction in the first place. Not to mention would leave sour taste for managers who worked hard to draft their team if someone gets lucky to land a big name for cheap.

Just in case that was directed at me, I agree as well, I just think people should be able to sell players to raise cash so they can indeed carry on bidding.

Poor Viva.. had that bid on Giggs for ages if only the time limit had kicked in earlier or was even 12 hrs instead of 24!

I'm OK with the choice and can understand the concept, but it makes less sense to have it in same round. Is not even realistic as claimed before. You can have a sale round during reinforcements after R1, so that people can reorganize.

We are going for 12 players, you cant do that without having an all position round.

Guys, confirmation? @Annahnomoss @Polaroid

Not correct. There will be the following rounds in which you can pick up any amount of players you can afford but 12 as a minimum.

GK
CB
FB
CM's
Wingers
AM's
Strikers

You can guy an extra player in one of the positions round so I don't see the problem
There aren't 12 rounds, man. Just rounds for every position. As far as I am aware, it is wingers, fullbacks, CBs, CMs, AMs, strikers and GKs.

Still am thinking most will go for the 12th player after finalizing their team. Thats why the final round should be free for all. Have seven rounds to find 11 players and one to get the twelfth one in which the position doesnt matter.

You just have to plan better

Wont it be better to have those rounds and then the last one to get any player for any position? That way, if you miss out on a position can make it up for it in the last round.

Why not, say I got Ronnie for 100M, it's now round four and just about right now I decide I really want Messi so offer him up to whoever bids the highest and over X amount in the next couple of hours. What stops me? How does it make things convoluted at all? Stob then comes and tells me he is dropping out of the Messi race and is happy to take Ronnie off my hands for 90M. Sorted, lost 10M but freed up 90M to carry on chasing Messi.

It's not particularly complicated.

Think about the fact that for this winger round you will have loads of Strikers who can play wide, then the AM's who can play wide and then the CM's who can play wide, then even the wing-backs who played wide as well.

You basically have 5 rounds to solve your feck-up.

By the way you need to tell us now if we are having an all position round in the end or not, the bidding in every round including this depends on that.

What if the highest bid you get is 40m, you will be forced to sell him on without receiving a fair amount in return.

I think the best next round would be fullbacks. Massive sobering effect post-wingers and a great tee-up before AMs, particularly the wide-ish ones.

In that case have the defenders round first, go from the most rigid positions to the most flexible ones.

I am ok with it as long as if you place someone for transfer, you don;t have any say in how much he goes for. If bidding for Ronaldo then rises only to 50m, you have to take the hit

No, why would I be forced? He is MY player, no one can force me to sell him. I invite bids, if they are not satisfactory I stick with Ronnie and give up on raising the bidding for Messi, simple.

Yep, buyers must decide the value in a transfer. If the seller isn't happy he can keep his player.

Nah I don't agree with this, once you risk placing someone for transfer you have to live by it

Then the person who is bidding for him, cant get in a replacement as he can never be sure if you are going to sell him or not. And he cant waste his money on two players for the same position. Unless there is a minimum release clause added in, cant see it working.
