It doesn't seem to be a problem at all really. The bids gets sprayed out really quickly. No player has been raised with such bids often, almost only major bids.
If it becomes a problem we will change it for the next round.

We decided on 1m which is fine.
1m is insubstantial imo. You need to really commit to player you are bidding. If you are expecting to be outbidded it comes with a risk and 1m does not cut it there.
Also the problem of constant updating!
I'll wait and see if it becomes necessary in next round.
It went really fast here. Bid-raises were substantial more often than not. I like the idea of 1 m bidraises as it shows you aren't interested in the player and just out to outbid people.
PaceMe got fecked by trying to do that, which is pretty brilliant.
We should let Polaroid buy those 4 wingers now.

1M is fine. You also have to keep in mind the budget and the fact 10m is minimum for any player. I doubt people will go into bidding war like this -

Paceme got played. TBH, it wasn't even particularly clever from Pol, more a brainfart from Pace. I was sat there watching Pol's lineup and thinking he was fecked with Bale and probably Robben (who got little credit for me last time out). But no, he is now sitting pretty on the ones he actually wanted and pace needs to shift unwanted stock.

I also agree that Robben is close to being overpriced here. 35m would have been his apt price.
Ribery will go for between 50-60, may be even more.

That is of course "illegal". Just a brainfart from PaceMe at the heat of the moment but should of course not be allowed.
Yes that is correct. But I think that will come into play at the end of the round. You must have enough money post bidding to buy the remaining players. Meaning you can not spend more than 190m this round.
How we sort it is something we should discuss I guess

Don't think you should leave it that late, because then it could cause massive problems in the end. It's either valid and the manager has to live with the consequences, or it's invalid the moment he posted it, which means in this case it all should go back to the standing before the invalid bid now.
Waiting till the end and then say he misses out on one of the players fecks up the whole draft imo.

Yeah it is invalid at the second anybody makes a bid that exceeds their total limit. Of course the managers themselves will be held responsible for it as it isn't anybody elses job to manage their finances for them.
So unless it sorts itself out before anybody finds out, like this time - then us admins will have to make a decision on how to solve it. Of course it will have the perspective of "The manager made the mistake so the rest shouldn't be punished for his mistakes".
You can't do that while playing yourself, that's impossible imo. There has to be a rule about what happens, imo.

For the next rounds yes. When you make your post you should include time. During this round we won't do it.
The issue is that every situation will be different. Depending on how early someone notices that a manager has used more than he has.
If we notice it at the very end then I assume a solution would be give the manager enough to continue the draft - but punish the manager for pseudo-cheating by giving other managers even more or whatever.
If we notice it instantly we just change it back and everything is all easy, but if we noticed it after it has already had a huge effect on the entire round it is hard to have one "punishment" for everything.
Let's say someone bids 100m for Ronaldo, 70m for Bale and for Ribery and no one outbids him. Then you can't let him have all 3 players, so you need to take one away. How punish him and how make that player available for the rest of the managers?
Have the managers count their money in each post. For example, Aldo bids for a player, so he has to add at the end, how much money he has left for how many players

shouldn't be a problem then. But invalid bids should never stand at all, they shouldn't influence the bidding of others either like in this case Pol's invalid bid lead to paceme's invalid bid.

@Balu I think it is a hard situation that is best if we avoid. The only thing one has to know is that you look after your own budget and if you bid more than you have you will be held responsible for it.
If people realize they get punished for it in one way or another, then they will be more careful. Like this time it sorted itself nice and we don't want to punish anybody in those situations as it is a game for fun and people can make mistakes.
I hope we will all be check it as a group to make sure nobody bids about their ability.

I am loving the valuations. C.Ronaldo is looking like he'll go for the same amount he would actually go for in his peak. Like Ferguson said, we sold him off on the cheap side.
Ronaldinho vs C.Ronaldo is also looking very interesting, I've always had the opinion that Ronaldinho was higher rated in these drafts than Cristiano. So it will be very interesting to see who ends up the more expensive player.

Going by the voting I have seen, there is no way Goffy is more rated than Ron.
