But then someone else could swoop in and snipe him up. Trading with you is the only way to guarantee the player. No one knows when you might sell back and whoever is online at that moment might benefit more than someone planning on it
As I said from a pure strategy point of view GSTQ was very smart to wait and now he is in good position to get better bargains than the people who bid up a GOAT in the first day. Consider it an advantage for being patient

I checked GSTQ team after you mentioned his strategy and seen he had two players, Kante and someone else, I couldn’t see any benefit to that strategy.
