Assuming Mou signs what would happen to Ryan Giggs?

With Giggs and Faria both on the same bench the Cnut factor will be off the charts.

Wouldnt happen though, Mourinho will get rid of him at the first chance he gets.
or it could be the holy trinity of cnuts. Our Holy Father the Jose. The Holy Giggs. And the begotten son Faria. Amen.

God would be tempted to send down a lightening strike. Or atleast wenger or rafa will hope so.

Jose is a perfectly nice guy btw.

Giggs`s case reminds me of some old sify tv show with some pods where brain waves can be transfered of few people into one. Seems like club force managers to take him as assistant so he can learn and absorb knowledge/XP of them and merge into one person. Like if they think, that him being under few managers will make him some super manager at the end.

Hello my name is Gyan Riggs, and I come from... some place far away. Yes, that'll do. Anyway, I say we give Giggs the manager's job.

I like the way Riggs thinks!

He should leave United and United shouldn't be worried at all by that prospect. If they force him on Mourinho, it'll indicate to me that Giggs is bigger than United.

Where though? It would be a massive punt, just look at the calibre of manager that wants to come to even the relegation battling Premier League clubs at the moment.

Could he have beaten out Ranieri for the Leicester job, Benitez for the Newcastle job?

Ranieri was a washed up manager prior to his arrival to leicester. Newcastle were desperate. I agree with you in principle, gigs shouldnt land an epl job. There again some clubs rarely work with logic hence why the likes of shearer, di mattheo and moyes ended up landing top jobs

He should leave and start his management career at the bottom. Then keep building on that. If United force him on Mourinho, we'll have big problems. As a fan, I can do without anymore 'internal' drama.

New TV money has changed the landscape massively since the likes of Shearer and Di Matteo were landing PL jobs (although Shearer and Di Matteo were only hired as temps anyway), Moyes was just SAF being a one-of-a-kind prat, no other outgoing manager would be put in charge of choosing his successor.

Maybe he can keep his dick in his pants and get a job somewhere else.

He should try go to a joke league like scotland or france and manage there. No point starting with a poor premiership team as you learn all the skills required to survive - and none of the skills required to dominate. Pep learned his trade in a job where he was expected to win every game, playing attacking football, in the reserves at Barce. If giggs went and got stoke to fight relegation or something he wouldn't learn to much to bring back to united

25 years of amazing service, goals, assists, loyalty and trophies.

Some of you are such wankers.

Three assistant managers worked for Leicester
...

He won't be assistant manager. I'll be shocked if that happens.

So either he'll be moved down the ladder into a coaching role or he'll leave. If he has any ambition it'll be the latter.

Hopefully goes and proves himself elsewhere then comes back in a few years and carries on our domination, but will probably not bother and just turn out to be another ambassador for us.

I wouldn't mind him staying on and continue to work as an assistant. There's nothing more important than gaining more experience for him right now. Playing yourself and coaching are two entirely different animals. Too many former players jump in too early.

If I was Giggs I would be doing my best to be part of Mourinhos coaching staff, another manager to learn from and then maybe after 2 seasons leave to have a go as a manager elsewhere.

What language would Mourinho use when he speaks to his coaching staff? (not that it wouldn't be good for Giggs to learn portugeuse/spanish)

If I was Mourinho, I wouldn't want him as my manager. While I am not in devilish scale on Co92' conspiracies, no one can deny that pretty much every one and his dog who played with Giggs on the past, tried to get him the job by bigging him after every bad result we got this season.

Also, I don't think that it will be healthy for Giggs to stay for another 2 years as AM. I think that the time for him to become a manager is right now. He needs to leave United, and likely, he can get a decent job somewhere and then see how things go. Typically, a manager needs 5-10 years from starting his career as manager, to getting a club that competes for trophies, so if things go right for him, he would be in fifties when he would be finally managing United (or some club of similar reputation), so I don't think that he has too much time to lose as AM.
