Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
I think this guy is going to be one to keep an eye on over the next few seasons. Watched Spain u21s mainly to see Thiago, but this guy has caught my eye. Looks a very good, all round midfielder, with a bit of creativity and toughness about him.

He currently plays for Real Sociedad who, if I remember rightly, have just qualified for the Champions League with a promising young team. So we may be hearing this guys name a lot more this coming season.

Not quite Isco or Thiago, but extremely promising. Got a tough streak which is sometimes hard to find in these tippy-tappy Spanish types.

I saw the tweet, it is bollocks. Might just be you that hasn't noticed him because he was being discussed in the u21 thread during one of Spains earlier games.

Strange comment. All the tweet said was the United were 'watching' him. He's been impressing at the U21's and good enough for you to create a thread about him, so why would it be 'bollocks' to think we'd be watching him?

Very talented and 23, a great age to come in as Carrick's understudy, I think he looks better than Strootman and Van Ginkel, the Mirror have Arsenal linked with a £10M bid for him tonight.

Can we sign all of him, Thiago, and Isco. I am sure that if we get three, they'll give one gratis to us (Koke).

Spais is becoming the new Brasil.

He's been brilliant all tournament, so cool when pressed

Is becoming? You might be a bit late to the show with that one.

Nah, I was praising the Spanish players and screaming for them for a long time, you know from other threads.

I made the point considering that Brasil for a large period of time has produced more good players than any other nation, in recent time Spain is doing the same, especially in midfield when arguably the midfield of Spain U21 is better than the midfield of every other nation bar Spain, Italy and Germany.

The commentators mentioned Arsenal being in for him, if they get him for £10M it will be a steal.

I wish. But they just made the CL worth a young team, so unless they are dead broke why would they sell a quality young player?

They only made the playoffs. It's not worth a lot if they don't make it to the CL group stages which is very likely if we look at what teams they probably face.

I think the player he most reminds me of is Xabi Alonso. That doesnt mean he'll be as good as him as Xabi was already standing out in la liga at 19.

I thought he was really tall, because he wasn't as nimble as all their other players on the field and mived around like a big lump. Looked a giant among their midgets on tv as well, turns out he's only 5-10.

Indeed. They are unseeded in the play-off round and so far the three seeded teams are Schalke, Milan and Arsenal who all look stronger than Sociedad on paper. They'll be joined by the likes of Lyon and Zenit most likely who aren't pushovers either.

About to join Real Madrid for 30m Euros according to Marca, AS.

I really hate Real Madrid and their obsessive spunking money on everyone and their dog.

Usually I'd agree but its good that they are trying to create a Spanish base in their team.

A higher transfer fee than I thought, but he looks a very promising player. Which position will he get? The position that now is occupied by Khedira?

Has Xabi Alonso signed a new deal yet? My guess is that Illarramendi will be groomed as his replacement.

That's true, they've got some incredibly talented youngsters signed up or signed back in the case of Carvajal.

How patient can they be with Ancelotti and the latest project? A slight shift from Galacticos 2.0 considering only they only have one player in the 'Galactico' mould.

Seems bizarre that an, admittedly talented, water carrier for the team is costing them 30m. Looks like Madrid are paying home-grown tax as all of the English clubs seem to do.

True, but it will just mean that the players they have bought previously are an even more waste of money. It's kind of crazy to think that if they bought Bale there might not be a place for Ozil anymore (with Isco/Bale/Ronaldo as that trio possibly).

The new philosophy is apparently YEA (Young players, Espagnol core, Academy).
