Ashes I - 2013 - In England

Stop being drama queens
It's not really dramatic, I just expect Bairstow to get blown apart again and whilst the tail and Prior will offer resistance I don't see them putting up a competitive first innings total.

If England are looking at a first innings deficit in they hundreds this is going to be an extraordinarily difficult test match to win.

Oh look, England batting like tards again. Ninja's right, this partnership is absolutely crucial as Bairstow has been hopeless recently.

This is the perhaps the worst Australian batting lineup ever. They are horrendous, as long as you score 200 you're fine

They have a tail that probably could match 90s South Africa on a good day.Watson/Rogers should make 80 runs between them at least and Clarke is also due a score. So they have a massive chance if they get it under 250.

I'd fancy them to put on 400 on a road. I think how bad their batting line up is is pretty overstated. It's bad, but it's not THAT bad.

I watched them in India. None of them can bat and your bowlers are much better than ours

Whole different ball game playing on slow spinning Bunsens on India compared to flat, baked roads that are going to be similar to grounds that they grew up playing on.

Anderson's still probably shattered from the last match. This has been a disastrous innings so far.

Same pitches England played on so it's a good comparison point. But we'll see

Wouldn't say disastrous, 2 more down than you'd like but certainly not beyond the point of return.

Regardless of the luck Bairstow's just shown why he's not test standard.

How many times does he need to get out or 'out' before he realises not to play across the fecking line?

Has he feck - he's a kid, feck, give him a chance.

I'm not saying he's not going to get there, but he's not there yet.

Absolutely ridiculous that a 'test player' can be got out time and time again through such an obvious flaw in his game.

Best we can hope for is a 50 from Bairstow in this game. Just not good enough at the moment,

Struggling with the pessimism in here.

I'm out until the close of play each day.

Pessmist bastards!

Bell has been supreme so far, but really need him to make 150+ This pitch is a 450+ total.

Pitch is excellent for batting, nothing happening for the bowlers now. England should really make 450+.

Bell looks to be back in form, playing well.

Fair play to Bell he's really shown up this series, looks like another important innings underway for him.

Of course he's probably going to get himself out now I've said that.

Excellent comeback by England. Bairstow has been surprisingly good.

Important breakthrough from Smith.

Bairstow needs to kick on and get 100.

You play a wonderful innings, score a century at Lords and then get yourself dismissed by Steve Smith

The pitch is spinning for Smith. Can't imagine what Swann will do to the Aussie batsman.
