But if you use it when you genuinely think you're not out then I don't see why it is that which should be dictating the umpires decision. It takes around 15 seconds to review something. The time the lads walking off that's out is plenty of time to deliberate whether it's out or not.
I agree that it's ultimately there to give the batsman the benefit of the doubt of being on the wrong end of the decision. I just think the way it's being implemented with reviews and what not is not the way to go about it.
Any doubt the ump has he should have options available. Then I guess if he stone cold thinks it's out the Batsman is fecked iether way I guess.
It certainly needs looking at but I doubt they will. This highlights a bit of the up and down nature of it all.
