Arturo Vidal

"Are you going to Manchester?" "No, no."

"Will you stay at Juventus?" "Yes, yes."

There you have it folks, the fat lady has sang.

I remember Ronaldo saying he'd stay here after the Champions League final.

What are you all doing in this thread? Did you not see what Wenger said about Vermaelen. IMO that's the deal Woody is working on - Vidal is a mere smokescreen.

Vecchiasignora is a juve fans forum I think. Vidal apparently stayed silent when asked.

The guy got info from some forum that Vidal said he was staying to fan. Tuttosport said he stayed quiet.
We went from the pits of hell back up to the optimistic middle ground in a matter of seconds

He smiled because he imagined United fans shouting ' Stay with us, Arturo' and remained silent not to piss Juve fans off obviously.

Clearly flattered that the fans love him, but doesn't want to commit either way.

16:30 - FANS ASK A VIDAL TO STAY, BUT HE IS SILENT - Maximilian and the team have been granted to the fans outside the hotel that houses the team. When the coach Juventus returned to the base after training in Vinovo, the Bianconeri have signed autographs and posed for the photo with the many supporters who were waiting behind the barriers. "Stay with us, Arturo", they asked the fans. He smiled, but remained silent.

I previosuly really wanted us to sign Blind and part of me still wants us to but the problem is, based on current form, Shaw wouldn't be able to hold his place in the team if Blind was his competition. Not sure it would be in the best interest of developing our young left backs. We could play him in holding midfield but that probably wouldn't suit the current system Van Gaal has us playing.

That's a poor reason to not sign someone tbf. If you're playing well enough then you get in the side. If you're not, you don't. It's as simple as that.

Ronaldo did stay a year after the final.

He tried to force a move though. Only reason he didnt get it was because Madrid/Calderon were so disrespectful in their pursuit, if Saf is to be believed.

He's clearly trying to fill out so we get some use out of Ando's training gear when he leaves.

Business etiquette? We're talking multimillion pound deals here, no shame in having the courtesy to do it face to face. If there are contracts to be discussed and a huge amount of paperwork in terms of contract details to plough through, selling the brand to them, explaining our setup in terms of coaching and medical.

There's a million reasons why it's easier to do it over the table rather than over the phone.

Well quite. If people in business are happy to sit on a train for several hours just to chat through some search marketing performance figures, then it's little surprise that a multi-million pounf transfer demands a face-to-face.

Personally, I'd just do it all by email.

This is an awesome saga.
Awesome? Thiago was awesome, with De Gea fuelling our muppet dreams and the writing on the ball and all that stuff. This though? It's just the same ing being rehashed over and over again with nothing actually happening.

I hope we sign him, but to do that, we have to bid for him, so I don't understand why we don't just, you know, make a bid? We'll see what happens but it's gotten so tedious.

Maybe, just maybe we aren't actually after him. This reason is becoming more and more apparent. No credible source in England is declaring our interest.
I want his signature soooo bad, but as every day goes by it makes me think we aren't after him. Hope to god im wrong. Without doubt biggest muppet transfer of all time for me. Make it happen Ed

Didn't Calderon go to David Gill when Ronaldo scored against Chelsea in Moscow and basically asked how much for him? If true they really do have no class.
