Wasn't quite brave enough to put the whole 50 on. I mean, if he did somehow sign for Liverpool I would lose in every way imaginable. But put a nice £25 on. Potential £60 return.

But I like hedging my bets. I made over £100 on Herrera staying at Bilbao last Summer. That way, you don't care so much when it's "off" so to speak :D

If I had enough money lying around to make it worthwhile then I'd definitely be taking that 7/5.

Yeah I sometimes do it on our games vs City. The joy of beating them always makes the financial loss worth it, and if they do win you're at least getting a little something out of it.

What's annoying is that despite saying that, they still say that Vidal is "snubbing" us when he says "no no" and that its a "blow to Manchester United" when Allegri says that Vidal is staying. Either they think there is more happening than they are reporting, or they have an agenda to make us look rejected.

If you listen to the British press, we've been snubbed by half of Europe this summer.

Its because the press know people lap up anything transfer related. United had a shit year last year so both United fans, and fans of other clubs are desperate to know what's happening so it sells papers or gets followers on twitter. The particular highlight has been the fact that we've been linked to almost all of Van Gaal's dutch team at some point - including a 33 year old Dirk Kuyt. Tells you all you need to know.

They also now seem to need to rehash the same stories repeatedly week after week because they're evidently getting no actual news from the club and actually know bugger all. They still want to look like they do though so they need to come up with somthing - usually a story that can be explained away later by a "things changed quickly but I was right at the time" kind of response that can't be proved or disproved.
