Mata of course.

Or you mean in the PL? Torres, lolz.

Shite yeah, that Torres deal always slips my mind given how shit he is . Since we aint gonna be paying over 50mil is it safe to assume Ed was talking about our own transfer record then.

I wouldn't get too excited just yet, guys. It's only one newspaper that's reported the verbal agreement. Until a few more start reporting the same, sit tight for now. If they do, things will move a whole lot quicker.

So is there any actual movement in terms of the transfer? Seems like in the last like 40 pages it's nothing substantial.

This is all setup for Allergi to come out and kill our dreams later on...

The only concern is that both Juve & Vidal wants to come out of this smelling like roses. The Juve board obviously don't want to upset their fan base by saying that they won't sell unless Vidal wants to leave, while Vidal has mentioned on many instances that he's happy to stay (while obviously hoping for a transfer as he hasn't dismissed the rumors outright despite the chance to do so on so many occasions)

For the move to happen, apart from us making an acceptable bid, either Juve board or Vidal has to budge.

Agree. We also had a verbal agreement for Gaitan and Garay.

This will all end in beers. Lots and lots of beer in celebration of Vidal's signing. I can't wait.

You would think it would be far more beneficial to just pay an extra £10 million get the transfer done and give him a pre season. It really doesn't matter if we're overpaying (seen as we have for the last 4 or 5 transfers we've made anyway).

K, flapjack ready, new jug of coffee has finished. I am prepared for the next 3 hours. Let Vidal Watch commence.

Have you got a thermos filled with weak lemon drink?

What's happening over the next three hours?

Tears. Lots of tears in muppet anguish after Vidal says he is staying at Juve.

I really pray I'm wrong!

Would be weird if Vidal stays in Juventus after all of this. Why not just end the speculation.

I don't see any other club that would be willing to spend that much money on a midfielder, considering the circumstances.

PSG, Real, Bayern, City, Arsenal make no sense. Specially not now when FFP is in place.
Liverpool could use him, but they already bought Southampton FC.

Allegri Presser is at 3pm BST

Nothing good can come of this, do not get excited.

It is 100% guaranteed that, unless (as is very unlikely) everything suddenly moves fast, and the deal is already anounced, he will give the ususal lines aobut him being an importnat player they don't want to sell etc.

The point being: When has anybody ever used a press conference to anounce the sale of a player? What are people hoping for, something like this?:

Hack: "Is it true you're selling Vidal?"
Allegri: "Yes, next question?"
