Bigger bottlers than spurs?

It's not a question of bottle, it's a question of personnel. Think how teams perform when they lose their 4 first choice players from 1 position, Spurs this season, Utd last season, Liverpool the year they lost Van Dijk and other defenders. You just don't play at the same level. Would be interesting to see if Would be winning as many games without Salah, Jota, Nunez and Diaz, and if not would they be the ones showing no bottle?

Still feels like negligence to be in that position despite how unlucky they've been with the injuries. If they signed a striker they probably still wouldn't have won the title due to how efficient Liverpool are looking this season but they'd have made a good go of it.

Still think they'll finish 2nd but I wouldn't put it past them to drop more stinkers.

Indeed. Like we spoke about last week, it's perfectly fine to question the club for not getting the players, every Arsenal fan is doing so as well right now, especially because we knew 2 were already injured in the window, and the manager was reoeusayinhnhe needs people in.

He seems a bit stubborn. Maybe a Pep trait. Pep wanted to show the World with how smart he is by playing a Champions League final without a DM, and he benched Rodri v Chelsea. He lost the game because of it.

Arteta seems that he has to win the League by doing things his own way, and not buying a recognised striker. It also keeps biting him in the ass.

The club tried to get guys like Vlahovic in the past. We tried for Sesko last summer, we'll likely go back this summer. We are repeatedly told Isak is his dream striker signing. So I'm not sure not signing a striker is a result of an Arteta vanity project.

You cannot keep improving season after season.

Yeah, football is really tough to be so linear and “trust the process” in that way. When the opportunity is right you have to strike then and there, which Arsenal just haven’t done.

In all seriousness, they controlled around 95% of their game against Forest. Again Arteta has no idea what to do to get them scoring and breaking teams down with what he has, but they played well.

I wonder if it’s worth trying Odegaard as a false 9, or Trossard who I’m sure played a game or two there for Brighton. I seem to remember him scoring a hat trick and brace against us in that kind of position.

Tried Trossard there against Leicester and it was terrible, took Merino coming on to change the game. However, that's partly because Sterling is then forced to play.

I think when we get Martinelli back we might see him try him or Trossard there again. Nwaneri has played false 9 before for the youth teams, I reckon if Saka was fit for the right hand side Nwaneri would have been tried there as well.

Listen, we lack top level firepower when everyone is fit. Take out 4 of them and your going to be really struggling, that's why I wrote the league off a couple of weeks ago and it will now be a procession for you guys now. PSV will be a massive struggle now as well, I don't have us as favourites to go through that tie either now.
