Not that fussed about him leaving and I would cash in, tbh. Rate him but he's got a brainfart or two in him. Gabi's far more valuable to us right now.
 
Poor performance from a team running on fumes and without any solutions in attack. We started a midfielder at striker, our biggest attacking change to make was playing a LB in midfield, and our biggest threat was a 17-year-old making his fifth PL start. But we were also pretty sluggish, Declan Rice had an awful game after a very good run of form the last few months, he looked physically way off the pace from the start, maybe he is carrying something. We really don't have an alternative to him though as his backup is playing striker. Calafiori also started his first league match since early January and looked way off the pace. Those two together on the left side got cooked by AWB and that says it all.

If we're being honest, the coup de grace to the title "race" (which this was) could have just as easily been delivered against Wolves or Leicester these last few weeks. When you don't have threat in attack and you're missing so many players then every game is a struggle and maintaining the energy levels to find a way every week is very hard. This was really a cursed season start to finish. At this point, we should just try to get through the PSV tie in the CL, recover a few players, and give it a go in the CL. Otherwise, develop a long term plan for getting players fit and rested for next year because we really need to get it done then.
 
Every time they’re given a small glint of opportunity they bottle it. It’s like they’re happy just being in the conversation.
