Television Arrested Development

Hopefully get all the characters properly interacting together again.

Brilliant news! I actually started re-watching the show a couple of weeks ago, on season 2 now, I'll watch the season 4 in that new format. Also, can't wait for season 5!

I only started watching this a couple of months ago but it's quickly become one of my favourite ever comedies. Very excited about getting more!

I love the first three seasons but I really couldn't get into the fourth season. Will have to try and give it another go.

4th imo came together at the end when it basically all merged. Agreed it wasnt as strong as the first three though.

Easily the best comedy show ever made.

Can't fecking wait for season 5

I was taken aback first time I watched it but enjoyed it more the second time around (generally speaking, I find the whole show better on rewatch when you know what's coming), but I'm looking forward to seeing the new cut of season 4!

Who’s watching the remix right now? It’s little slow to be honest, but more interesting than the single character episodes.

Only a couple of episodes in, but the re-cut version is pretty awkward; harder to follow and has lots of repetition. Not sure I'll bother.

I'm sure the repetition was already there, but as it was further apart, it was less obvious.

I'm enjoying the new edit so far, whether it's better or not though, I'll wait till the end to judge. I'm still struggling with Lynsey's new face in it.

Watched the first episode of season 5 at lunch time. Spends most of the episode catching up on season 4 and not a huge amount of progression of the story. Some good laughs; taking aim at Hollywood Producers on a couple of occasions and even a fairly cutting dig at Jeffrey Tambor's recent activities.

First episode a bit of a mess narrative-wise. Jumps about constantly and starts with what must be about one of the longest summaries I've ever seen for a previous season.

But it also feels a lot funnier already than Season 4 in that it's drawing the main characters together and moves at a decent pace. All the wall stuff (which I'd forgotten about) has also become rather prescient.

Netflix India is not streaming it  Will have to stream it from somewhere else.

Oh cool I just noticed this has a new season!

@Cheesy s4 needed more Jessica Walter IMO, is she in s5?

Jason Bateman is good, watching mostly because of him now. Then again, he was always my favourite.

Season itself (at least first three episodes) is very mediocre. And while it's nice to have the ensemble back, it's not really funny. Tobias and GOB are particularly tiresome (and Arnett looks tired as well).

Think Arnett relapsed into drinking a fair bit, hence why he looks so bad.

I've enjoyed Tobias' impersonations so far though. Another dead wife joke to Michael in there too.

I was underwhelmed by it.

I'll probably rewatch it though as I had zoned out by the last few episodes.

In hindsight this should have never come back after the third season.
