Arjen Robben

He doesn't like to play second fiddle behind Coman? Arrogant prick, we should kick him out of the club.

Too old and had too many injuries, I'd rather we steadily continue to build for the future.

It would be a great bit of business in January, instantly transform out attack.

If Rooney is guaranteed a start we could line up like this in a 433.

Marital - Rooney - Robben
Herrera - Schneiderlin - Mata

That would be defensively weak, switch out Mata for Schweini and it would work better IMO.

Could be the difference between 1st and also rans.

What sort of money would he go for?

Robben and Martial charging forward with shit anyone up.

He'd be a perfect signing for us. Nothing wrong with a quick fix while rebuilding. Fergie loved a old veteran in the side. We could do with him for sure.

Do you think January is a possibility? Cause our need is urgent.

Coman's done well but I expect Robben to start once he's fully fit. Seems like a nothing story.

Robben will have just 1 year remaining on his contract at the end of the season. Maybe we can sign him for a ~€10 million like Fußballgott in the summer, or even €15 million - which would be fair value relative to his age and length of remaining contract. Might prove to be a very shrewd and opportunistic piece of business. He will turn 32 in January, but Zlatan will turn 35 next season, and he's playing at a very good level; even Figo signed for Internazionale at 33 and played almost 150 matches for the club. To be fair, Robben has some added injury concerns, but he has aged well. And if we could manage him well, Van Gaal will have a good winger who can add pace and creativity, and play maybe 30-35 games per season for the next 2-3 years. Apart from scoring and assisting in the double digits. That's something we've missed in recent years from wider areas - consistent, tangible offensive production when fit. Robben can remedy that, and would be a good short term addition. He's not exactly a quick fix panacea but he is still one of the top players in the world, and that would transfer to United, provided we manage his fitness and playing schedule well. Who knows, maybe he will pick a tip or two from Giggs to that end.

Sure. His wages are way too high to keep him for the rest of the season now that he's playing second fiddle to Coman. Who needs Robben when you want to win the CL anyway.

Muller is next. Then Pep. Then we'll have your T-Mobile sponsor. Just start supporting us now Balu.

Sign Robben, sign Pep, sign Müller, sign @Balu. Sign Der Kaiser to give Fergie and Sir Bobby company in the director's box. Leave no stone unturned.

Wherever Pep goes, Thiago goes. Likely Pep will want Boateng and Alaba to follow him too.

Utd lineup season 16/17:
............Valdes..............
...Boateng..Alaba..Shaw...
.............Thiago............
.........Herrera..Young.....
Robben..Müller..Kenwood-Cleevion
..............Rooney.......

He might bring the next World Cup to England then, you just need to give him a bit of money to work with.

Surely it's first Pep, then Müller?

Are you so sure Pep wants Müller?

And you can have t-mobile when we can keep Paulaner and Audi. And yes, dress in Armani.

And I guess Pep prefers Armani and Audi to a Chevrolet... - maybe you can win with a wine partner?

why should bayern let him go for little money? Even if he pushes for a move, they rather let him go at the end of his contract for free.

Xabi Alonso is a stupidly good looking man.

Because Woodward will flood Kalle's inbox.

Maybe somebody told Kalle now how to use a spam filter...

You know that Robben drives every of his teammates into insanity... He does not pass... And he does not mind to hit others when they complain... I do not know if Rooney is used this...

Would love to have him here, if he's fit, he could transform us. But because of his age and injury concerns (along with contract time left), the transfer fee can't be high, it would have to be a low fee similar to Schweinsteiger. Not as cheap obviously, but we shouldn't be paying more than 20 million pounds IMO.

To be honest it would be a waste of money to buy him and pay him his wages because to land him he'd be looking for one last pay day and at least a 3 year contract. During those three years if he didn't decline too badly, fine but how many games will he miss the injury? No worth it in my opinion.

We have stupid amounts of money.

If he's available for like 15m then it's an absolute no brainer.

I don't trust his injury situation

Relax. Calm down. I just posted the article as I thought that 'rescue' headline was hilarious. Obviously complete bollocks.

Another one 10 years too late, having rejected us to give his best years to other top clubs. Still, wouldn't say no to the Arjen Man - top 5 in the world for me and a bonafide match winner.

My only worry is his injury problems.
He has always been injury prone, so if he does join us, that'll continue.

But, will he improve us? HELL YEAH!
The only problem is that Martial and Robben would make Rooney look really bad and I'm not sure if LVG (and the millions of Rooney fans) will like that.

Woody, this isn't what LvG meant when he said "We need to be Buyin' Munich"

Could be another Van Persie situation.

One golden season to win us the title and then robbing a wage for the remainder of his contract.

To be honest, I'd take that.

2008 or 2009, back when he was leaving Real Madrid, was the perfect time to sign him. Not that expensive, top class, outed by a big club, right in his prime. Now is at least 3 years too late.
