I didn't say like, I said respect. Big difference, maybe they do like him that's the problem.
Like, respect, it doesn’t matter. It shouldn’t enter into it. They are supposed to be professionals after all.

Ed should bite the bullet and sack him now in order to save him the trouble of doing so in November. 6 defeats in 8 is unprecedented in it's awfulness. It's becoming increasingly clear that he hasn't got a clue how to turn the tide. United need a new manager and staff with a clear vision how to play progressive football.
A few months later and it's like Mourinho never left:
Still faffing about with the defense (is he really the man to shore up this defense?)
Still playing the same formation
Still willing to give the deadwood more chances
Still shunting Rashford to the wing
Still putting Matic straight back into the team
Still calling out the players in the press
Still talking about the past
Still negative
At least Mourinho would have had them fired up to come back from a losing position once in a while.

Yep, although it's been useful to help top up my ignore list. This is the most moronic thread in redcafe history.
Indeed, this Rashy and Youngy talk does not inspire confidence in me. I was personally always against his appointment and stated as much many times, he hasn't the pedigree required.
If someone told you after Moyes disaster season that Liverpool would have Klopp(available at the time) and we would be managed by Solskjaer (relegated with Cardiff) 5 years from now, you would have cried. Sad times.
I really hope he talks to Fergie THIS time. Ferguson will have some good ideas about what to do with this squad.
As much as I like him, I do think it’s pathetic how he still refused to park in Sir Alex’s parking spot, or how he continually refers to how Sir Alex did things as a reference point. It was okay when he was interim, but mate you’re the manager of Manchester United now. Be your own man.
When did anyone say Pogba was shit? No one did. You just make that claim because you have no answer to the actual criticism aimed at him, which is that jogba isn’t trying. “But, but, but he made two chances”. Two chances, who knew the bar had dropped that low. That’s what world class is now? Lingard must be world class too. It’s easy to be great when everything is going fine, it’s when it all starts going wrong you see who players really are. Our “stars” are all guilty of not giving a feck.
Or, ole wasn’t here during Jose’s time and once again Pogba is showing his true colours as player who couldn’t give a feck. But, no. Let’s just blame ole.
Yeah, man we have a 7 losses in 9 record because Pogba doesn’t give a feck despite him being instrumental in the run that gave an unqualified Ole the permanent job in the first place.
The fact that you even singled out and/or attempted to attribute this shit to Pogba
I’m convinced you guys scream “curse you Pogba!!!!” when you spill your coffee in the morning or some shit

13-8-8. That was Klopp's first season record after he joined Liverpool in October, including a 6-1 hammering by Stoke City.
What happened towards the end of the season? The players were knackered. He didn't have his own squad. Liverpool were not better by any stretch of results and they finished 8th.
But...gradually, Klopp instilled fitness in the squad. Gradually, he bought players that he wanted. Gradually, he whitened his teeth. Gradually, he got rid of deadwood. Gradually, Liverpool improved.
Ole needs time. He needs to instill fitness. He needs to bring in his own players. He needs to adapt to the new Premier League. He needs to influence transfer strategy and work with the coaching staff. Improvements don't happen overnight, despite his impressive 14 first games (the players were bound to burn out after that, as we're seeing). Improvements take time.
Patience is a virtue, and sorely lacking on this forum. And to those insulting and denigrating Ole, shame on you.
Correct, but despite his successes in Germany, he started slowly and had some embarrassing defeats and hilarious (from our perspective) moments for 2.5 years to get to this season. But he had the backing in market and by the board with a supporting staff to make it work (with a patient fanbase, presumably).Unlike Klopp, Ole doesn't have a winning record as a manager, and he's never managed a big club. Its ok to have/express concerns without being disrespectful to him

wtf are you even talking about? you started talking about Pogba in a thread that's about how appointing an unqualified manager was a mistake. at no point did i say that you said Pogba was shit, are you feeling ok?
this was your first reply to me:
see how you randomly started talking about pogba?
and below is my reply to you:
see how i never said that you or anyone else said pogba is shit?
You're so discombobulated you can't even keep track of your conversations. Go do some spinning yoga classes or something man, i promise that when you come back Ole will still be an inept, out of his depth, unqualified manager, but hopefully Pogba won't be living rent free on your mind any longer.
So it was. They got hammered by City and Spurs the next season, which is more respectable.Klopp wasn't there for that 6-1 game. That was Rodgers.
It mightn't be a conscious decision, they are not going out thinking I'm playing bad today. Maybe he just can't get the best out of them now the initial new manager novelty has wore off.
Or the fact they played like this under two managers now says its them, and not the managers? Unless ole is sitting with joses playbook, theres no real reason they would be playing that same identical shitty way they were playing when jose was here.
comparing Ole to Klopp is madness. Klopp was a bonafide top manager when he took over at Liverpool, he had german titles and cups under his belt, and a CL final too
The players and manager aren't up to scratch. That's the reality.
His inexperience is showing with every passing game.
I still want to give him a chance though.
How did it show tonight?
36% possession
1 shot on goal
0-2
At home.
When he extended Young's and Jones's contract i doubt he can be ruthless next summer.
Maybe Fergie stopped managing remotely and said he you go sonThe terrible culture that seems to have developed at the club is the biggest issue. 3 managers in a row that were a terrible fit combined with Woodward and the Glazers is the most likely root cause (and we don't really know this as we are only looking at symptoms from the ouside).
If we can get a decent modern management structure in place, get rid of some deadwood, recruit well (to an actual plan) and promote well from within, then then Ole has a chance. Again, how good he is is an unknown as we are only peering in from the outside.
I'm still really curious as to why the team performed so well but now seem to have fallen well off the pace. Is something else going on that caused this change?
I don't think it's Ole who does the contract extensions. That decision is taken by Woodward (who takes input from the manager, but makes his own decision) and the negotiations are carried out by Matt Judge.
I refuse to believe that Ole (or any manager), would be happy to have Young and Jones on our books, while shunning new player purchases in the Summer. Woodward on the other hand loves contract renewals as it saves money.
That's humiliating. Even if our 1 shot on goal had gone in, we'd still lose.
Those are the kind of stats I'd expect if a top club plays a club in the relegation zone.
I do feel that Ole is getting a free ride.
We have had relegation form for some time now.
Had Jose or LVG got results like this, most would want them sacked....including me.
Who are all these 'stars' that are 'cnuts' and rotting the rest of the team anyway? Did they have the same problem before they joined us, or do they just decide to turn up for training and rot the rest of the team? Our “stars” are cnuts, rotting the rest of the team. There’s a couple of players that still care and try every game. But what you can do when the supposed best players down tools, don’t care, don’t want to try? Playing for united isn’t enough motivation? Hundreds of thousands a week isn’t enough motivation? Tens of thousands of fans screaming your name isn’t enough motivation?

I'm with you mate. After his start he has to be given time. The results and performances have been terrible I dont think anyone can get away from that. However the reactions of some of our fans is borderline ridiculous.
I'm sure early next season if we are still playing awful and results are not improving a decision will be made by October.
Give the man a chance to turn it round I say.
I'm with you mate.
Fergie out! Remember that?
This place is a disgrace sometimes!
A 77 year old man who has had serious health problems is running the worlds biggest club through another person? This!! When people say he says all the right things and is the man for the job, I cant help but think Fergie is actually telling him what to say, and Phelan is overseeing all the attacking drills like he did under Fergie
Some people are only in it for the short term. They haven’t got the patience to see how something pans out. Everything is automatically put into black/white divisions in their head.

We had the best manager available in the world but we didn't gave him enough power to build his own team so what's the point of doing it now for this guy ?
It is all good though painting a whole squad of players as 'cnuts' just to defend a man that couldn't do his job properly anymore. Solskjaer being up to the task remains to be seen, though I'm not exactly convinced by what I've seen so far.No one is a cnut, until they are.

The players that really performed well(herrera, lingard, rashford, pogba etc.) switched off for one reason or another. If this reason is the manager I would be concerned. But Ole did seem to create some unity that hadnt been there since SAF left after his appointment, and if he can strengthen the squad (the weaknesses really shows when key players are injured/out of form) I think we should give him a chance next season. I really dont think anyone else in world football could have taken us on the run we had this year before the bad spell. If it was a one off thing, time will show.
Also, we need to recruit players with a stronger mentality, most of our players seem far too inconsistent and fragile. We need more winner/fighting spirit types and I think Ole will be looking for that more than anything else.
