Long time since i've watched competitive Apex.
Had a look to see if i recognized some names, yup, i have been killed by one of those players.
Several seconds of fame on his stream, i remember :lol:

Shotguns are very hit and miss especially hipfire.

The strangest thing about this game is there is no fall off damage no matter what distance i hit you with the damage is the same obviously with bullet spread on shotguns it's a non issue but for the pistols its a weird concept.
 
Purple shotgun bolt really helps with Shotguns, without that I'm generally awful. But an upgraded shotgun and something like a Volt/R301/R99/Flatiline is a good combo.

I usually never go with shotgun because i pretty much always pick up R-99, and then i have no long range weapon.
Have considered about a million times to just use 301 with a 2x or 3x sight and a shotty, but then i see the R-99 on the floor.... looking at me...

Not a fan of the R99 its just a poor 301 TTK is like .08 different on a max shield target with the lack of range the trade off just isn't worth it.
 
I just grab the closest gun and kit it out :lol:

I’ve been opting for a lot of the ones that use heavy ammo though.

Flatline and Rampage are both good weapons to be fair. Prowler used to be one of my favourites but they've got rid of the select fire hop up (which allowed you to set it to auto-fire instead of a three round burst), so I don't bother with it anymore.

I do like to mix up weapons though so I'm not using the same stuff all the time. Volt is my weapon of choice at the moment.
 
Bit dumb that you can't play with people if they're higher level cause you essentially get battered. Would be nice if they at least gave you the option to play with all completely random ranks.
 
I definitely should get better at trying more weapons, been using more flatline and snipers lately.
Really not bothered with the Rampage, too much hassle with the nade, i rather just take a wingman or single target Hemlock.

Really liking the charge rifle, so easy to level up your armour and still stay far away :)

Best way to improve is to play better people frustrating at first no doubt but you will improve quicker in the long run.

Should jump on with me and @esmufc07 if he ever comes online.

I'm not sure I'll ever be at the level though. I just want to enjoy it :lol:

I popped my head up for a split second in one game it felt like every single shot hit. Likely keyboard and mouse players maybe? The accuracy from everyone I encountered was unreal.

Fair, theres a big argument about controllers v mouse in apex don't go down that route :lol:
 
I've just started playing Apex, but struggling a little with the pace of the game.
 
Anyone play any yesterday or today, is rampart as broken and stupid as it looks on the patch notes and a few videos about it i have seen?

Only had a couple of games with constant team mates disconnecting so didn't really get anywhere yesterday.

Had the same issue as you - managed to get in but game kept dropping so gave up on it.

What’s the issue with Rampart?
 
I also kept having a team mate disconnecting. I played about 4 games last night and in three of them it was left with just two of us from the drop.

In one we managed top 4 but didn't really stand a chance to win.
 
Rampart is so fun now. Finally what she should have been seasons ago.

I played Apex from the first week, as I was a daily Titanfall 1 & 2 player. Every patch, every update, every new season brought with it a new round of "why does this game allow this?" type of questions. I quit playing right after the new Australian character showed up, mainly because of things like snapping targeting, the weapons having no fall off damage, them nerfing and buffing things randomly, and the cross-play just made things worse. Last time I gave it a look was when the servers had been locked down by some hackers.

It doesn't sound like they've fixed any of the major problems.
 
Just launched a trios game. By the time we drop it’s just two of us and then that guy disconnects. Just me landing and I get mullered.
 
This event patch has been an absolute disgrace. It's pretty much been unplayable for two whole days now with server timeouts, and every code:net, leaf, cloud under the sun.

$1billion game and they still can't be bothered to sort out their servers 10 seasons in. EA really are shameless :lol:

Also who cares about a Rampart heirloom ffs.

Is this related to my teammates disconnecting on me all the time? I start trios and 2 minutes in I'm on my own.

Yeh it was still broken as of this morning Respawn have tweeted 3 times they have fixed it to then say it isn't fixed an hour later.

Seems they have no idea :lol:
 
Oh and if by some miracle you manage to get into a game, do not, I repeat do not use a replicator. It booted me to the loading screen, and then loaded me back in miles away from my teammates for some reason.
