Watched two episodes so far. Very slow with nice atmosphere. Didn't gripped me yet.
It's weird that I'm actually more interested in their rations, how do they feed and warm themselves considering they're up there for close a year, than the mystery that's slowly unveiling (very slowly, as I mentioned).
I'm sure it'll be great though. Simmons is amazing.

@Redplane yeah the Terror is really good, strong cast. Bit of a slow burn but the tension is great.
I was thinking the same with the rations, it makes you wonder how these types of expedition survived to these places 100-300 years ago.
Also made me think of them being away from family and friends for that period but i guess it was the norm back then when people travelled around.
Indeed, but hey, it was a great time to explore! We have it boring these days, born too late to explore the earth, born too soon to see the beauty of space.
Also, Hornblower series I'd recommend, and I recall Captain Cook being quite good. If anyone knows more similar stuff, movies too, would be great.
Slasher is very good to watch in two weeks. Just two seasons, eight episodes for each.

I liked The Terror , yes it was a bit slow , but in keeping for the time it was set I thought.

Does anyone know what happened to the guys from Flight of the Conchords? What do they do now? Seems a waste of talent that they arent on TV every week.
Jermaine has been doing pretty well in Hollywood. Brett has done a few soundtracks and won an Oscar for one recently.
They're now back touring as FoTC again with some new material and there is talk of another series or movie. I'm seeing them in June. Fou du fa fa!

Watched the whole thing, thought it was excellent, well worth a watch. One of the best series I have seen recently. Jared Harris is superb, didn't realise Richard Harris had a son who is an actor. Some other great performances also, the guy who plays Hickey in particular.
Based on a true story with some other elements introduced by the guy who wrote the book that this is based on.
Season 2 Designated Survivor is excellent.
