If we can't get Antony then I'd use the money on an attacking right back. So Sancho now tucks in and the new RB holds the width. He’s 22 and has quite clearly outgrown the Dutch League - one of the biggest clubs on the planet want to sign him and make him a key part of the project under a manager he trusts - like feck is he not pushing vehemently for a move.

We really do need Antony right now our options upfront in potentially a 60 game season are Currently Martial, Rashford, Sancho and Maybe Ronaldo. There is a new 5 sub rule in the PL and 9 named subs , currently we have weaker options from the bench than teams like Villa, Leicester, Arsenal, Spurs, and probably West Ham in midfield and attack after this window has ended, we need. 2 in asap up top as united need 6 players competing for 3 attacking positions rather than 7 Centre backs competing for 2 positions, our squad is the most unbalanced in the PL and we need 2 more in the midfield area too.

Three weeks to go before the season starts and we are scrambling around signing a back up left back, a 5’8 CB whose never played in PL for £46M while some relatively reasonable free Transfers like Dybala, Eriksen, Isco, Belotti are available. I like the Manager but he must be as frustrated as the fans on just how poor we are at doing transfers. He might have 3 more players in before August probably one or 2 weeks before and then we will moan when we pick up 8 points from the first 5 or 6 game because he didn’t have enough time to let the players settle in.

Amad needs regular football so he should be going on loan, he's nowhere near ready. Pellistri looks interesting and I wouldn't mind keeping him until January but there's no way we can rely on him. Elanga for me isn't really good enough, not yet at least, and should probably be loaned out but with the lack of options, I understand why we'd keep him.

We desperately need another attacker and I'm not sure who we will sign but I'm certain we will sign one. We probably need two attackers but I'd be content with one for now. Unfortuantely I highly doubt we will be able to sign Antony anymore.

I think it would probably be sensible to give it until at least Christmas to see if we actually need a right winger. The last 2 managers seemed unwilling to play Sancho there, this one seems more willing. Theres no point spending pot loads of money when we may well only need a backup, and one of the youngsters may rise to the task in the meantime. IMO if we get Martinez, sort midfield and get a good right back then thats a good window for us, presuming Ronaldo doesnt leave.

If Amad goes on loan then we'll be left with only Sancho who is comfortable on the right hand side and as ETH indicated in his presser, there are more options on the left hand side and he wants balance.

It may not be Antony given the price but get the impression that getting someone else that can play on the right will be important as you don't want to be reliant on Sancho being fit and in form all the time for that position. Another option for the right also means Sancho can play on the left if needed too.

He’s 22, pacey, Tricky, familiar with ETH methods but well overpriced, so is L Martinez, we should be paying £85M (35+50)max for both. I don’t condone wasteful spending but it’s not my money or yours and who ever the next owner of United is, Hopefully very soon will have to pay off £500M debt.

I’m staggered that our Director of Football can not explain to Edwin and Ajax DOF that we would like both players, 35+10 For LM and 50+15 for Antony. We think this reflect a fair price in a market which as seen Raheem Sterling(26) , a more experienced and more proven player who has scored 15/20 in the PL for the last 5 seasons go for under £50M, why do you think Antony is worth more than a genuine Top 20 elite player in world Football when Antony has yet to prove himself in the PL. Let’s face it we just can’t negotiate in the transfer market, it’s like we have to win the race by throwing money at it in fees or wages, and that worked out so well in Alexis Sanchez, Pogba and Maguire case, One day we will learn. I just see L Martinez as a complete waste of Money but using that money for Antony plus £15M as a good investment for a 22 year old.
