Thanks. Who have we lined up?It's been quite widely reported since Ten Hag came in that AWB is surplus to requirements.

Similar to the DM position, there doesn't appear to be many concrete links. A lot was being said about Timber from Ajax, though is a CB. A few reporters have mentioned Denzel Dumfries from Inter, but that could just be the obvious Dutch link. Have to wait and see.Thanks. Who have we lined up?
Nothing to suggest there is anything in this.

That's why I mentioned VDB to do Schone's role instead of Schone himself because Schone was bang average football, while VDB has better talent than Schone.Unless "Schone no 2" means bang average footballer, I'm not sure what you're on about.
This was a poor match of his, other than the goal
this is a better example of a good performance of his:
Don’t know where you’re getting that from. He’s extremely quick. If Greenwood isn’t going to return, which is likely, then a left footed forward is very much needed. This lad looks skilful, if a little slow.
Any of the profiles I’ve seen on Antony comment specifically on his defensive efforts.Do him and Sancho have enough graft in them? I really want to see our forward line harrying the opposition backline more from now on.
Excellent! He sounds like a fantastic option.Any of the profiles I’ve seen on Antony comment specifically on his defensive efforts.
Could this Schone defend and provide some physicality/tackling?That's why I mentioned VDB to do Schone's role instead of Schone himself because Schone was bang average football, while VDB has better talent than Schone.
I would have similar feelings on this maybe not as strong as love and hate, But I could see people being amazed at some of the flicks and tricks and completely frustrated when it doesn't come offI hate and love him at the same time.

Doesn’t particularly look the case from the highlights I’ve watched.
I’d worry about him and Sancho as regular wide options. Plenty of skill, but hardly electric.
I don’t think either are slow. They are both quick at progressing with the ball too which is very different than being quick over 100m
I hate and love him at the same time.
Yeah, he'd be a proper RW who hugs the touchline. This may come back to haunt me, but I think Amad can do a lot of what he does in terms linking up well and playmaking from the right touchline, and neither project as big-time goal scorers so maybe a little redundancy there.
But adding Antony wide right and De Jong as a DM leaves us only probably a left-footed CB and probably one fullback (then Shaw or Dalot having a strong season) away from having a first XI that can actually play possession football. The space he leaves open for the RB and for Bruno and/or VDB would help a lot, and he comes deep and wide so he's more often available for a pass than most wingers, though that means he's too far from the box to score a ton himself.
Does look like he'd get kicked a ton and might hate it. On the other hand he presses really hard for a winger, and we need to get the team going in that regard. Cristiano would probably love him though that's a 1 or 2 year concern at most, though I imagine Ten Hag is desperate to get a top 4 spot and make it easier to buy players next summer.

Slow? And here I thought he was fairly rapid. If Greenwood isn’t going to return, which is likely, then a left footed forward is very much needed. This lad looks skilful, if a little slow.

He would frustrate a lot but an exciting player, no doubt. Someone who would keep the crowd on it's feet with his skills and tricks.
So is Alex Crook a reliable source? I know Talksport is basically a red top tabloid in radio form but I’m guessing if people are quoting him constantly then he’s good? That would make him the most reliable journalist Talksport has ever had.

I happened to be driving and had it on when he said it, TBF he sounded pretty confident, I know they don't get held accountable but he'll look a bit muggy if these don't happen now
Ironically, I think Greenwood’s playing contribution is being overrated since his suspension/casting aside. His shooting has always been excellent but he was outperforming his underlying statistics and his link up play wasn’t great. There was a reason we were so desperate to get Sancho for that right wing. Also, Greenwood never convinced at striker at senior level and his movement/positioning in that role was very sub par.I think even if Greenwood does return then a left footed forward like Antony is needed seeing as we’ve lost Cavani, Mata, Lingard and Pogba from the forward/attacking midfield options and IF Greenwood was to return he’d deputise for Ronaldo through the middle as well.
Agreed. He had a hot streak in 19/20, then in the following two seasons he scored 12 goals in 49 league games. He looked amazing at youth level but his goalscoring instincts are really poor. He’s great at scoring great goals, he has no nose for tap ins or what you’d call typical centre forward goals.Ironically, I think Greenwood’s playing contribution is been overrated since his suspension/casting aside.
