Screw that. They'll ask for 80m. That pinky and the brain looking mother fecker will be grinning like a cheshire cat. There's Timber for next season
Yeah that’s my take but plenty here with an axe to grind against Ajax for some reason. There's no one at fault. Ajax are completely within their rights to refuse whatever we offer them. And United are absolutely within their rights to stop at €90m, which is a solid 100% over his value. We offered more than enough, if Ajax don't want that, there's no transfer to be had, there's no one at fault.
Come on, why do people keep saying this? It's literally no different to any other club we deal with. They get us to overpay for their players or they don't sell. Where is the good feeling between the clubs? They sure as hell aren't doing us any favors with this supposedly "good feeling".Ajax are fecking jokers.
At the start of summer if you'd have said we'd bid 90m euros for Antony, people would say we're crazy and they'd be laughing all the way to the bank.
Now they're just being stubborn trying to fleece us out of every penny. It's a shame that this is ruining a good feeling between the club.
You can find hundreds of players like him in brazil
It is the club's fault. Our chances of signing him would be greater if we did it before they sold half of their first team. We stopped doing anything in the market for the marginal chance of signing De Jong which was never going to happen.
Are you only just realising this club doesn't operate in a shrewd way? What is there to gain from briefing them? It just riles Ajax up.
Very true! You're the team trying to sign our manager, centreback(s), winger, and transfer-targets (Brobbey) all at once.
isn't it quite tricky to get work permits for south americans in the UK or something?
Da Silva twins held portuguese passports iirc which was one of the reasons we went for them
Because we have (and have had) players and manager connected to Ajax, I suppose there's an assumption we have a good relationship with them. I used to think that too, but I'd argue we have a better relationship with Real Madrid over any other club.Come on, why do people keep saying this? He’s gone on strike effectively.. what more do you want from the poor guy??
You’re right but if you are the player in all this you feel let down and probably do want to blame someone. There's no one at fault. Feck Ajax! Hopefully we end up hiring VdS in the near future and the club goes to shit. Is this a massive overreaction? Yes. Do I give a feck? Absolutely not.
to think I actually felt a bit sorry for them that their team was gutted this summer
screw them.
Still can't understand why a formal transfer request hasn't been given to the club from him yet. Seems like that shod be step one. Then sit out training/games.
Who are these magical CF’s you’re thinking about? Elanga? Please…Probably this is a blessing in disguise and helps development of Garnacho and Elanga. Just thinking positives here. Let’s put our money in getting a CF
It's a good point that maybe the have to shoulder some blame in regards to Antony, I would agree that he would be right to feel hard done by. But towards United, I don't see anyone at fault here, they don't owe us anything and we don't owe them paying whatever they seem appropriateYou’re right but if you are the player in all this you feel let down and probably do want to blame someone.
I’m not saying Antony is in the right but he seems to think Ajax should let him go if a fair offer is made (will anyone argue that €90m is not fair?). I don’t know what Ajax tell these young talents when they sign but you have to think the next talents might hesitate to go there after this.
So if it’s anybody’s fault, I think Ajax take the most blame. I feel for the player a bit. I suppose he’ll have to knuckle down and play.
But they are?Lolz at Ajax thinking they are a big club bless them.
You have so much material to work with in here you could create your magnum opus.an instagram post of his fingernails, covered with shit, and captioned “your move, edwin”
