I personally dont think we can sell anyone. Our players arent really sellable most of the time due to wages. I think we will have to keep them around and just run their contracts down!

His numbers are not good at all considering his league and who he plays for.

Won't pretend I've watched much of him but he'd need to nearly come in and double those numbers instantly......

We got to be building to beat City and Liverpool who are both relentless
This is why our team is so disjointed, B Silva doesn't get many goals or assist but he's crucial for City with his creativity, work rate and ball progression.
Anthony will bring this qualities as well, what he does will create space for others.

Guys like Henderson, Wan-Bissaka, Williams, Bailly and Tuanzebe are on reasonable enough wages to make them attractive to other clubs. Obviously the likes of Martial and Maguire will be very difficult if not impossible to shift.

If he's coming we could officially say "goodbye" to Amad and Pelli as a united players.
Bizarre. He’s replacing Greenwood who is better than him so why would Antony being here suddenly mean the end of them? What is this obsession that if a player isn’t first team at one of the biggest clubs on the planet at 19/20 they’re doomed to fail and should be sold?

Some folk here have made me warm up to the idea of him coming here, I suppose I would get excited if he was to come.

There are some bargains around if we want to. Nketiah to Belotti are free agents while the likes of Dembele, Depay, Kalajdzic and Moukoko has just 1 year left on their contract.
If we’re just looking for a backup option to Ronaldo rather than signing our future striker then I know a guy who scored 17 goals in 31 PL games 2 seasons ago, is 26 and until recently was a regular for France. Free transfer. Could be an option.

There are always bargains around. But nothing wrong with spending decent money on high quality players.

We've been linked with a handful of right wing options so hopefully he's first choice and this is true.
I don't fancy any of Asensio, Chamberlain or Trossard.

Whilst I agree the 3 other names are underwhelming, I mostly remember being pleasantly surprised the few times I've watched Trossard play, I wonder what people that watch him regularly think.

The issue with Trossard is he is 27 already so not much room for improvement.

Go all in. His kind is something we've missed for a long time. I'd love to have him here.

I was never a big fan of big fee signings. They take most of the transfer budget away which is a concern in normal circumstances let alone during a rebuild, the salary + the pressure on the player will often reflect the fee and it also force the manager (and his successors) to play the player even when he might not be performing. Having said that, there are circumstances when buying such players make sense. I am referring to dead certs at the right stage of their career such as Rio, Stam and Rooney.

Martial seem to have lost his joy of playing football. We should get rid of him if we can

going nowhere, we have him a ridiculous wage based on not very much. No one else can pay him that and he has no desire to play for anyone it appears.

We're losing anywhere between 7 and 12 first team players this summer. I don't know how this idea that we're only going to sign 2 or 3 players persists.

If we don't sell anybody, we might get away with signing 4 new players. But if any of Henderson, Bailly, Tuanzebe, Jones, Wan-Bissaka, Telles or Williams get sold, we're going to need to sign more than 4.

There's no point basing predictions on what has happened in previous summers, when we've never seen so many shipped out in one summer before.
Realistically, how big do you think our transfer budget is to sign more than 3 players? I'm sure we'd love to sign more, but it's going to be a struggle financially.

Every half decent players costs us 50m these days. Quoted price for players like Timber/Torres is 50m. Attacking players like Anthony 50+m, Nkunku even more than that.

If our budget was £120m + sales as reported, the £120m budget will be gone on just De Jong and 1 other big signing. Then we'll be reliant on player sales to make any further signings, and historically we know we can't shift players and can't get good fees for them.

It is possible to sign 4 new players if we apply the adds on strategy,

Bailly (€20m transfer fees + salary) + Tuanzebe (€3m salary) + Jones (€3m salary) + Bissaka (€20m transfer fees + salary) + Martial (€15m salary) = €61m

£120m = €140m + €61m = €201m

De Jong = €65m + €15m adds on.
Antony = €50m + €10m adds on.
Centre Back = €50m
Midfield or the 4th player = €35m

€200m + €25m adds on.

United fans are too far up their own arses. I would have loved a Drogba in this team even with the shithousery.
I'd have had Costa too hes the sort you would love forgive and laugh with in your own team while everyone else hates him.

Speaking about Liverpool,

Before last season (24/25 years old):
Luis Diaz at 23/24 years old with Porto (Portugese League 1638 mins): 6 league goals and 5 league assists
Luis Diaz at 22/23 years old with Porto (Portugese League 1772 mins): 6 league goals and 2 league assists

In comparison:
Antony at 21/22 years old with Ajax (Eredivise League 1736 mins): 8 league goals and 4 league assists
Antony at 20/21 years old with Ajax (Eredivise League 1774 mins): 9 league goals and 8 league assists

I'm not posting this to draw my conclusion but I posted this to provide more information and comparison for posters.
