I watched the Liverpool game thinking Sancho’s been shoved out on the right wing to basically accommodate Rashford and Elanga. All the stats suggest that Sancho is much more effective on the left and YouTube can tell you instantly that Antony is absolutely a right winger.

Sancho on the left and Antony on the right looks exciting on paper

brilliant front four we would have just in sheer pace and 1v1 with Sancho, Antony, Martial and Rashy.....Elanga needs time obviously to continue developing and Ronaldo is brilliant but slows down the attack now

Malacia
Eriksen
Martinez
Casemiro
Anthony

Won't be a bad first window

And then in Jan/next summer

New GK
New RB
New CF
FDJ
and depending on Varane's fitness a new CB

That'll be the rebuild more or less done

I'm still hoping we sign a RB this summer, because I feel we need an upgrade there urgently.

We can't fault his desire to play for United. He's as desperate to play for us as we are to sign him. That's the kind of player everyone's been saying we should sign

If they refuse €90m, I can't see us offering more. Maybe change the structure, offer a friendly or @Plant0x84's firstborn child, but that's it
Surely they’ll accept this. It’s a great offer and a good deal for them financially.

I think even 80 million euro's is a good offer, Ajax don't want to sell and because of that have slapped a huge fee on him. About 15 million euro's also goes to Sao Paolo, meaning that Ajax will have paid about 30-35 million euro's for Antony, hence why they want such a huge return on investment as well.

I think he’ll put in a transfer request and we’ll get him

Hahahaha ofcourse not mate. He's not leaving, trust me. He's happy in Amsterdam and wants to play at a stable club with the world cup coming up. No offense but Manchester united is a nightmare at the moment, why on earth would he go when Man Utd isn't even playing champions league and failing in the EPL? I'm a united lover also don't get me wrong but he won't leave. Only for 100 million maybe, 80/90 won't be enough. That's just facts and you know it.

6 days ago this. you still confident @ETH86 ?

Fair play though, you weren’t far wrong with the price

Not watched him play loads but is he really worth this outlay? Some first hand info from Ajax fans will help.
Depends if you trust Ten Jag or not. So far all three signings have been successful and Casemiro is a banker.
If he has trained with him for a few years and rates him this highly then he must see a megastar here

This doesn't make sense though, does he mean 90 million euro's at once and 5 million euro's later?

No. Just a bad translation.

Original translation said expected bid incoming over 90 million euros excluding bonusses.

He left out the over part. No idea why people follow this europeanlad guy. He is just a fan with bad takes and no connections. Yet a lot of people seem to take him very seriously for some reason.

"So far" is three games with two loses. Bit early to be proclaiming any signing successful. I remember watching Prunier's debut against QPR and people singing "sign him up"...

Some ajax fans were being cocksure about Antony not going to kick up a fuss to leave just a few days ago. Now he is going HAM on their trust

Manchester United's hopes of landing Ajax forward Antony took a massive step forward on Wednesday night when the Brazilian international handed in a transfer request.

Thread title change needed.

So what add the add ons supposed to be ? some crazy balloon door clause, bbc sports personality of the year ?
Ajax only accepts addons that they deem easily attainable, so no "Win the Champions League" or "Win the EPL". Rather an X amount of matches, top 5 finish etc.
Yes, Robben really mastered that position to a degree I haven't seen anyone do (bar Messi ofcourse). Out of the world that guy and not just in talent, his leadership and mentality was also second-to-none. Amazing player and a huge legend.
The thing is though that Robben didn't do that during his break-out years, he developed that and perfected it in the second half of his career. Antony is only 22, there is a lot of time for refinement.

I think so too, the deadline is getting closer and that goes for the Ziyech deal as well.

In a couple of years he would pull the same stunts to force a move to PSG or the other side of Manchester when they offer him twice the salary United is paying him. Be careful what you wish for.

It's the right comparison, he was the replacement for the transfer you're referring to and so bothered about. Exactly, there's been flops before and there'll be flops after the Antony price tag.
We seem to be talking about very different things.

Yeah fair enough.

What is the view of United from within Ajax? Are we still mates?:)

could see a massive change to our squad and outlook for the season with these moves at the end of the window

I think those three have been our best performers this far, can’t see why that would suddenly change from what I’ve seen.
I can only judge them from their performances

Looks like Rangnick was right then. Literally a whole new team.

That €95m is not excluding bonuses. These guys just want to look good.

He went from I love life in Amsterdam to pitching a tent outside Old Trafford in less than a week.

Fair point. I hope you're right, mate.

Fair point, I hope he has Robben's willingness to improve.
