Unless we're increasing our bang average player quota, they fill no need. With €100 million we could purchase Gakpo, a RB and possibly another CM. Gakpo, Dest and Tielemans fill multiple needs.

Exactly. No one would try to justify a 60-100m fee for Haller on the back if this, though
As much as id love him here, €100m is a crazy fee when we need another central midfielder a st and a rb. RW is somewhere we could not fill this season and still be ok, the other positions on the other hand need addressing
It’s a good thing.Interesting that no one here seems to worry about Antony trying to force his exit from the club....

Why do you think this out of interest? Because its been an area of weakness for YEARS...
For us, yes. Generally, absolutely not. It’s a good thing.
That's how things are among the majority of football supporters. A good player wants to leave your club? "no loyalty, disgusting, fk him off, ungrateful, he has a contract he signed out of his own free will and we gonna hold his disloyal ass to that". Good player of another club kicking up a fuss to force a transfer to the club you support? "Hero, give it to me baby, half erect awaiting romano's here we go, hand in a fking transfer request and prove your love to us, etc".Interesting that no one here seems to worry about Antony trying to force his exit from the club....
What do you base that on? He hardly got a chance at Barfa.I agree with your point, but Dest is terrible
It is the same like having players who behave like cnuts on the pitch like Herrera or Keane or Milner. You hate them when they are in other club but when they play for you, you love them because....."he is a dirty bastard but our dirty bastard".Interesting that no one here seems to worry about Antony trying to force his exit from the club....
Exactly beacuse its been an issue for years that it needs addressing (midfield) the wing options we have are light granted but CM is where we need to improve if we stand a chance to push on this season imo.
He will be the nailed on starter on the right flank.I'm glad that Antony is pushing to join us but I can't say I feel too positive about this working out. With that fee it's going to be difficult for ETH to bench him without the media putting extra pressure on him the way they already have for subbing Martinez at half time against Brentford. Antony has a lot of talent but his end product needs to inprove significantly. Huge presure will be put on him due to the fee which could make it harder for him to develop in the way he should. Don't think he's at the point where he should be starting every game for Utd personally. Rotation option is probably how we should be using him if we sign him. I also have some concern about whether a new manager would rate him as highly in the event that ETH gets sacked.
If he were 22, a lot of clubs would've happily dropped 80m on him.

That he should stop being on strike and be a pro. Pressing back, essentiallyThat Antony can leave if hes not focused on Ajax?
You misunderstand, right forward has been an issue for years and we've just signed a midfielder...

Whip it outWhat does that mean then
Well, that's bang average. Not saying, this guy is worth 100 but that list is very uninspiring. With €100 million we could purchase Gakpo, a RB and possibly another CM. Gakpo, Dest and Tielemans fill multiple needs.

For €100M, we could probably buy Gakpo, Malo Gusto, David Raya and Ziyech.
as a Feyenoord fan (and MCU enthousiast) I might not be the most objective person to this matter. But still, paying €100mln for a player with these statistics in Eredivisie: 60 games with 18G/13A. It’s just… guys come on! You will realize soon that this player is no where near the level of players/wingers MCU is aiming for. All of Ajax latest transfers: de jong, de ligt, ziyech and van der beek were really really expensive and delivered almost nothong for it in return. In the Netherlands Antony is considered a nice player, sometimes has it and sometimes plain invisible. Statistics proof it, and that in the eredivisie with most clubs you all never heard off like RKC Waalwijk, Excelsior and Cambuur Leeuwarden. I am sure if you will search on Youtube you will come accross nice goals and dribbles, but keep in mind that it is against a club with a 5mln budget and has players on the field that earn 100k. Keep that in mind.
Manchester Cinematic Universe
I'd still prefer a proper striker to yet another wide player to be honest
Trouble is Utd didn't see a scenario where De Jong stayed at Barca this summer and so seemingly didn't have a backup CM.
How much interest have we in the other three?
Do we ever have a plan with these owners?
The window has been poor so far and only now looks like we are getting in the bodies needed. This could have been sorted before pre season (FDJ aside) had we had any level of competency from the owners.
