Arsenal have Saka and we have... Antony.

A nothing performance again, but this is expected by now. Offers absolutely nothing in attack, the right wing is just devoid of any and all creativity and danger with him and AWB on the pitch. He is like an open book to defenders. I just hope he isn't fast becoming the Maguire to his Ole.

We've been sold an absolute dud, again.

With Sancho, you can somewhat see that he has the talent but the confidence just isn't there and it's questionable if he'll get back to his best.

But Antony, I'm struggling to see any redeeming factor here. He tracks back well at times and.....that's it?

I genuinely can't believe we've spent 80 or whatever million on him.
So can we put to bed the “if ten Hag wants him, I do” mentality

Mixed feelings. He was great at times but the passes were under hit and lost it.

Definitely an improvement on Palace match.

Did ok first half when we used him as means to keep possesion but as soon as we become a counter attacking unit, he found it tough.

But really needs to pass better. Some poor attempts today

Between him and Gakpo, the Eredivisie's attacking players arent exactly gaining street cred.

The more I see him play, the more I don't like him. Seems like a complete misfit, at this moment in time.

I'm pinning all of my hopes on there being some sort of magical striker that will play through the middle that will allow him to shine. If I'm honest, I think the chances of him not making it are far greater than this make-believe scenario.

This was his best game for us but he was still the worst winger on the pitch

I thought he was alright but contrast his performance with Saka. There’s a chasm between them.

we played a lot worse when he went off.

His end product definitely needs improving but he gives us an out ball and never hides. he works very hard and always chases.

Bruno let zinchenko run off him for the 3rd which antony never would have

The comparison with Saka was not complimentary for Antony, even though he did ok in certain aspects. Doesn't really carry a threat and is better dribbling when the opposition are charging him than when he has to take the initiative.

He just looks perpetually terrified. Scared shitless.

The amount of 50/50s that break to him and he sticks out a dainty leg after the ball has already gone... absolutely nothing of the Richarlison's about him at all. No fight.

I mean...im trusting Ten Hag on this one still. There's just no way he would sanction £80m on him if he wasn't sure, right? RIGHT???

You have to question what ETH sees here to chase him so hard for £80m. He cant beat a full back. Doesnt offer any where near enough attacking threat.
He works hard tracking back but little going forward.. (so far) Garnacho and even Pellistri look far better.

There are other wingers that could have been tried. It seems more like a case of replacing him with a midfielder all the time

It's because Bruno is in no way shape or form a RW. We purposefully make ourselves a worse team by sticking Bruno on the right for whatever reason

As always, worked hard and made the team more balanced. Was trying a bit more today, though it didn't really come off and he was a bit sloppy. Baby steps.

agreed on that. not sure why he didn’t trust garnacho or even pellestri.

not a great night for ETH but no manager is perfect

Modern managers aren't great judges of talent. They're glorified drill sargeants who specialise in coaching.

Recruitment etc should all be left to specialists like they are at other clubs. Back the scouts. feck the managers.

Agreed, Antony's only value today was pinning down Zinchenco, once he departed, Zinchenko just moved centrally and started helping Arsenal in dominating the midfield.

Antony has a very long way to go, Ten Hag is playing him because we don't have much of options in the bench.

Part of me was convinced I called him shite purely because I cant stand the whingy cnut.

Turns out he might actually be shite.

Pellistri/Garnacho can do a job there. Issue is, he isn't actually very good.

Let's just call a spade a spade. This guy was a complete waste of money. Today was marginally better than the nothing performances he's put in recently, but he's a busted flush. I would love it if I was wrong but I really doubt it.

I remember a concern a few posters had how in his youtube videos, he rarely tries to beat his man. Well, looks like they had a right to be concerned. Bang average

I was one of those. Youtube videos will make anyone look good except this kid.

Big fish from a small pond becomes tiny fish in bigger pond.

To be fair it was his best performance overall since joining but it was still a 5/10.

He's not playing well at all but he's 22. Can't give up on someone that young this early. Victim of terrible planning by our backroom staff which resulted in us paying £80m for him. Not his fault.

Nowhere close to good enough. Ten Haag needs to take the blame for that. How did he think this guy was good enough? And 85m?
