The bit that pissed me off as well was when he was up against Valencia and is unsure what to do and eventually runs at him when its too late

Seriously what the feck is wrong with him? There were others who have played poorly today but he's been like this all season and there never seem to be signs that it's getting better, in fact it's probably getting worse seeing as he now he can't even pass to a team mate. I really don't know why Fergie put him on when he had Welbeck and Young on the bench.

Welbeck, Kagawa, Nani, Young, Phelan should all be automatic choices above Valencia.

When he did get the number no.7 shirt, people said he was the best winger in the league

I don't get why you're laughing, he was. He didn't win all our in house player of the year awards just for laughs.

I'm baffled as to what's happened to this guy, he's gone from being a beast to being completely toothless. Moves just break down as soon as the ball goes out to him. Seriously, what the feck happened?

One of the worst performances I have ever seen from a professional football player. Genuinely terrible stuff.

this really. everything he touched turned to shit. undoubtedly the worst performance from a united player this season. shocking.

I'd have Rafael as a winger over Valencia right now without a doubt if it didn't mean we'd lose his quality at right back.

What a shit season
This guy has totally lost it. Hopefully just temporarily but today he looked like a fecking Championship player. Certainly not good enough for United atm.

He can't even volley in a straight line! Technically inferior to Nani in every way conceivable. Terrible, terrible performance. Where has the good Valencia gone? For months now he's been playing at a standard that would not be acceptable at any other top 4 team. Its simply not good enough.

He has not been shite, he's been fecking shite. Will struggle against Zaha next season, unless he bucks up.

I've always thought Owen would be our worst No.7 ever but Valencia took it to another level.

Why do people always do this? Does him playing shite this season somehow delete all his great performances from history?

I apologize as I didn't mean to belittle his past achievements. But even when he did get the no.7 I didn't think he was the best in the league. Very average winger is what he has become in my opinion.

I think the most annoying thing is not just that he's been shite, it's that we are still always looking to him to make things happen when he is on the pitch. It's crazy to have so much of our play going through someone playing so badly.

So Young at right wing, Kagawa/Giggs on the left from now on until Nani's back? Trust Nani to pull up with an injury when he's been offering so much more than the other wide options after his return to the side. So frustrating, and more games where Valencia will start unmerited and continue to frustrate the living shit out of United fans. Diabolical today

If he doesn't show signs of improvement before the end of the season (if he's lucky enough to get on the pitch again) then we should get rid. It's that bad.

That "shot" he had, I swear it infuriated me more than his overall performance.

i'm starting to get worried about him now, it was beyond bad form today. I hope Nani's injury is nothing serious.

Absolutely fecking shit.

Genuinely wouldn't get in the likes of Wigan and Villa's first team the way he's playing atm.

And people were saying Valencia is our best winger.

Apart from a 3-4 months last season, Nani has always been comfortably better.

Even Young is way better than Valencia currently.

Valencia must be totally dropped and have a good sport psychologist attend to him. His poor play is affecting the players around him. Even Bebe would't have been so bad

worst performance by anyone ever. he did not even look like a footballer. everytime he got the ball, everytime, he was soo poor.
the difference between the two halves was nani and valencia.
i knew kagawa will be taken off to bring on danny, simply case tony came on at half time, but it should have been our no.7 who should have been replaced. disgusting!!

We don't even have to make that choice. We have a winger perfectly capable of passing the bloody ball just sitting on the bench.

I don't want to fool myself anymore by saying that he looks like someone who is low on confidence. He is more and more looking like someone who has totally run out of ideas to beat the man than someone who is afraid to take him on. The huge drop in quality after Nani went off was painful to see specially considering the player coming in was one of our best and consistent players last season.

Honestly, I just hope Fergie somehow gets him back to his best even though it seems increasing unlikely with every passing week.

On form over the last 3 seasons he is on current form no but that why I guess they were saying he was our best winger and on that reasoning they'd be correct.

I can't think of a player in our team I wouldn't want ahead of Valencia right now, DDG included.

If Nani is going to be out for any amount of time we are going to have to try some new tactics, Valencia simply isn't worth playing at the moment.
