Griezmann's going to become such a villain when he goes to Barca, and he seems a bit of a sensitive soul too, he's going to get so much abuse from Atletico fans.
 
Either its the best kept secret since last summer or the reddit ITK is about to lose all his nascent credibility.

If he makes the decision purely based on footballing reasons, I guess he'll choose Barca. If he wants to improve his brand, get better pay and be in the limelight, he'll choose United. But we are in a way better position to compete with Barca than we have been in years.

Am I wrong in thinking he also supported United when he was younger?

Sometimes a decision isn’t made based on a binary yes/no process, but is a heart vs head debate.

Having said that, I’d expect a lot more noises in the rumour mill if we were genuinely in with a chance.
 
This seems an awful lot like the Lukaku transfer...nailed on for another team and we swoop in out of nowhere.

I'm just trying to be optimistic

Nobody knew about Lukaku deal. Maybe there's nothing but rumor mill shouldn't be a concern. Fabinho is another example.

He is a huge Beckham fan but I'm not sure he was a United fan.
 
I’ve only just got over the heartbreak of last summer.. I’m not ready for this again.
 
Anyone feels tired of this? Because i really do. His transfer story is the sloppiest thing i have ever witnessed in my entire life. Surprised that there’s still no director making film about it. Griezwomann would be a perfect main character who always seek for the loves of her life but at the same time, moaning about her current husband for not believing her enough

Ya, I think a lot of people are tired of it. I myself rate him but dislike his character. Of course that will all change if he's banging in goals and winning us games next season. Having said that, if he ends up at Barcelona I won't be disappointed.
 
Are we still even interested in him? I guess Sanchez is the one attacker we decided to go with. Jose has said multiple times hes not after an attacking player although even a blind man could see we need a RW.

Why, Mbappe would cost double if not more of what Griezmann would. Don't see how Mbappe would suit Mourinho's Man Utd at all. He'd struggle to make an impact I reckon. Griezmann would fit in better. And not to mention if we got him what would happen to Rashford? I know Mbappe is a lot better but I'd take Rashford anyday.

Jose is probably playing mind games. We seem to be talking about a lot of forwards atm considering he isn't after one. If he doesn't buy a player that can play RW this season then he really shouldn't be in charge anymore.

Mourinho said multiple months ago that we weren't interest in attackers. Having watched everyone except Lukaku stink up the place since then probably changed his mind. He might even have doubts about Sanchez, is a performance like City away something he can do regularly?

Based on his comments about Pogba having a hard season at Utd, I doubt he’s coming here.

What proof do you expect him to provide?? Hacked emails?? Voice recording of conversations?? There isn't really any proof that can be provided for such stuff. He did say that Kohler will become our sleeve sponsors since that is where all this information came from. Let's see if that happens, that is the closest thing to proof you can get here. Even if that happens there is of course no guarantee that Griezmann will follow, the redditor could simply have been provided wrong information.

All I’m saying is believing we are definitely going to sign Griezmann off someone on Reddit’s comment is probably isn’t the smartest thing to do.

I hope he’s right but I can’t see it. I’d imagine United are rather annoyed at Griezmann after last season anyway.

It would be a transfer season novice who would believe such a thing. Every year there are countless such ITK posts and hardly any turns out to be true. My point was that even if what the guy is genuine, he can't exactly provide any proof other than his word.
 
What exactly is his problem?
Is he incapable of making decisions for himself regarding his future?
Last year, I can understand, he didn't want to feck Atletico over by leaving during their ban, but this year after flirting with Barca for months, he decides not to leave.And why? Because some fans booed him?
That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard.
I feel the fans were angry because he was going to a direct Rival, maybe if he decides to move abroad they won't be this pissed.

Atletico ain't gonna win the league or CL soon, they don't have the money and very important players like Godin, Filipe Luis are getting old.
They missed out on Fabinho because they couldn't afford to pay more than 35 million euros, they could loose Oblak with clubs like PSG showing interest.
They simply cannot compete with the financial power of Madrid and Barca.

IMO he should have moved to Barca, he would have most probably won a few league titles and even a few champions league titles. Also it would have been good to see him playing in an attacking setup. But I guess now he's staying at Atletico his entire career.
 
He's not leaving because he's happy at Atletico and they offered him €20m a year after tax in wages
