Read it and it seems plausible at first, but the more he talks about the more it sounds like bollocks. He starts making statements like "he chose us over Barca" when you wouldn't know that if all he was told was that of his opening post.
He probably knows about the shirt deal and then when that comes off and the Griezmann deal flops he'll won't be hammered as much as he can just say he must have been given the wrong information by this so called high up represenatitive.
Although those Griezmann comments yesterday were a timely boost for him.

To be fair, let's say he does know that Griezmann is coming and what out sleeve sponsor is, what does he gain by telling people?
Either way, it's about attention. And it's far more likely some loser who knows nothing is going to seek it on Reddit than somebody with a brilliant job and a lot to lose in life.
He might genuinely be relaying information he’s been given. There’s no guarantee that information is correct however.
Reading the thread I’m not even sure if he knows his source particularly well. The source might even have gotten the info from someone else, again, who is mistaken. It’s so easy for people to pick up little bits of info and completely get the wrong end of the stick.
It also seems to be getting overlooked, for some reason, that the video is from 21st March. It was just retweeted yesterday.

Don't want him, that ship has sailed. Last summer he would have been my muppet transfer, but we just don't need a player in his position and we have far more pressing concerns to address.

I'd much rather him up front than Lukaku at the moment. Always stood up for Rom but his first touch is damaging and while he is decent, I can't imagine him ever truly lighting it up for us, even though I'm sure his goal tally will always be good.

We all know how good Griezzy is. Watching these highlights showed me he comes off the right quite alot. I had no idea he had 29 goal all comps and 15 assists.
If Griezmann join United, it would get even worse if they all focus on his hairstyle, "Look at his haircut, he must want attention from the world, he should concentrate on the pitch, not Instagram and haircut", they did the same thing with Pogba, surely, they will do it to Griezmann too.

I can't believe Griezmann is still subject to speculation on Redcafe. United don't need Griezmann. There are other positions that need attention too.
Also, you may have forgotten, United signed Romelu Lukaku last summer. He scored twenty-six goals and provided seven assists in all competitions last season. Whatever criticism you can level at Lukaku, his goalscoring record is undeniable.

For those who are doubting if he is worth it, go watch some of the Youtube videos that analyse what makes him so good. I watch a couple and really feel that he is a big upgrade on someone like Lingard or Mata, even more so if we switch to a 4312 or something similar next year.
How would this not scare the crap out of other teams...

We do need another world class forward to match City's goal tally.We scored 28? goals less than City last year and they are only going to strengthen this year with Mahrez and Jorginho.
Sanchez could come good but we have literally no one on the RW.A free scoring forward like Griezmann would really enhance our chances next year.
So if we have funds after buying a CB, 2 FBs and a CM, I love it if we could get a class RW.
And if it's between Bale and Griezmann, for me it's Griezmann every day
I feel there's a lack of the ability to take on and beat your man in that front three.
Thiago and Pogba could provide that but the midfield will get overrun very easily and Matic will have to carry the whole midfield by himself

I’m firmly of the belief that this looks very, very unlikely... but I can’t understand people’s logic that we wouldn’t need him. He’s a brilliant, exciting player who would lift our whole attack.
As for the Griez-hate over his haircut, celebration, loyalty to Atletico, etc... I couldn’t care less. He comes across a bit more tongue-in-cheek than other well-known ego-machines.

This comment doesn't really make much sense since Griezmann is the best forward in the world to complement a physical striker.

Griezmann if he came here would instantly be our best player. He is better than Sanchez.

Since it came down to the wire last season, maybe we still have the £89m plus what ever we'll spend this season. Let the muppet season begin!

I think he means we met the buyout clause but wouldn’t have actually paid it once it all fell through. But... it’s an odd turn of phrase that he sticks with throughout the reddit thread, despite English seemingly being his first language.
Yeah he means that we met the clause last summer, but the deal did not proceed due to the transfer ban and Griezmann signing a new contract. Now we have met the terms of the clause again this summer, and the deal will go through this season.
