Leaking the sponsorship is one thing, you only have to be mates with one person knowing about the deal - but a transfer of this magnitude is something else. I'd imagine that Atletico Madrid would try to covert Lemar into attacking midfield/SS behind striker full time in 4-4-2 like they did with Griezmann as they brought him when he was wingers.

If Lemar was to join them that's what I imagine. They already have one of his roles in their set up and no definite starter. He can also play as a #10, that's his initial role but second striker would be very surprising.

I think the arrival of Costa has added an increased goal threat. So Griezmann's departure would not hurt Atletico if they get Lemar. I also think that Atletico have found it very difficult to find a player that can fill the tactical role Costa did when they won the league.
