Not sure they have much choice if there's a release clause, unless Grizou himself feels sorry for them and wants to stay despite the personal financial lossIf the ban is not lifted, it will be hard for him to leave as they cant sign any replacement and that would kill their first season at the new stadium.
But that is the likely outcome. Griezmann has a very goo relationship with Simeone, club and fans, so he would likely decide to stay till they can sign new players. Not sure they have much choice if there's a release clause, unless Grizou himself feels sorry for them and wants to stay despite the personal financial loss

I've got a good relationship with my boss, colleagues and customers at work but one of our (more prestigious) competitors offers me double the salary and a big golden hello for the same job then I'm organising my own leaving doBut that is the likely outcome. That is in no way the likely outcome. And I'm not even talking from the perspective of him definitely going to United. If they get a serious transfer ban that will make them a club less likely to compete and this was his issue from the start, that he's not winning enough trophies. If he wants out I am sure City, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern as well as United would all be options for him but I don't see him staying in Madrid. But that is the likely outcome. Correct, but if your employer is in legal straits as well, that could affect your ability to be successful in meeting your goals, well ... it adds fuel to the fire.I've got a good relationship with my boss, colleagues and customers at work but one of our (more prestigious) competitors offers me double the salary and a big golden hello for the same job then I'm organising my own leaving do
Boo fecking Hoo. Atletico should have thought about that before they did all those illegal signingsIf the ban is not lifted, it will be hard for him to leave as they cant sign any replacement and that would kill their first season at the new stadium.

"COVFEFE"
The ban is for only 12 months (they were only appealing to reduce it to 6 months so they can sign players this summer) and they can start signing from January, so its not a stretch f he decides to stay with Atletico for one more season. That is in no way the likely outcome. Actually, does anyone have the tweet/article/source for the rumour that says griezmann might stay if the ban was upheld?
Because we seem to be taking it as a possibility, yet I have no idea where this started.
swore I wouldn't get roped in again!
He said it depends on the Atletico transfer ban, if they can recruit players. Barthès then asks him if Lacazette coming would change his opinion, but he (confusingly) says that it doesn't depends on if "a player comes or not".
Before that, he says he has no idea if he'll still be at Atletico or at United, but it does sound like it's the only 2 options.
It's an assumption treated like fact. It's ridiculous, it's like they haven't heard Antoines comments over the last few weeksActually, does anyone have the tweet/article/source for the rumour that says griezmann might stay if the ban was upheld?

Haha, nah, didn't join until a month after we signed him and wasn't a lurker before the day I joined either. You clearly were not a regular in the Pogba thread lol when all muppets were consumed by fear Acquire me showed us the path of light

Only thing i can think of is that Moratta or Mbappe will play in one type of formation, if its Griezmann then we play a different way. Might also dictate what other players are bought and how we use our existing players.I have trouble understanding that tweet, both Morata and Mbappe are out and out CF while Griezmann is a SS. Surely Mourinho doesn't think of Griezmann as a number 9?
Considering it's Di Marzio, it must be well sourced and that doesn't bode well for us
