Maybe you are too quick to write off lukaku. Sorry to disappoint you but he is here to stay. Maybe you don't want to see it but already there are improvements to be seen in his game. No doubt he will perform even better next season.

How often have you seen Griezmann play? He had to play as sole striker at Ath Madrid for a while this season and he preformed poorly. He requested to play with another striker and his output and performance improved. Griezmann needs a big striker to play ahead of him

I think it's down to the talk of keeping the 7 shirt free for him. Atletico might take it the wrong way
I have no issue with Lukaku, hope he's around long term. That said, he doesn't have to start every week.
We should be giving Martial more games at striker at as I feel there is unreal potential there that is not being tapped.
Would be thrilled if Griezmann does come to United.
As always though, you have to earn the right to start at United - this applies to Lukaku and everyone else.

Barcelonas statement to me is a clear indication that they are already sorted with Griezmann and are now backpeddling before they get in trouble.
I think so too. Someone in the mould of Neymar, who can cause havoc with the dribbling skills and quick turns, pacey and eye for goals. Martial is too talented to be limited to the striker's role only.

Still think we'll be in contact about this transfer, but I'd more expect us to try for Ozil as a much cheaper alternative and use the big investment elsewhere (rumour of a new central midfielder). It's possible we'd need another full back, too.
I pretty sure we can. After the transfer of Arda, we have plenty. Granted we still have the highest wage bill in all of europe, but its still 60% of our income.
We wanted him in the Summer and he turned us down. You can wrap it using nice words, but he snubbed us. We simply were not good enough for him. So he negotiated a better contract with A.Madird. Many players have used us to get a better contract - AG wasn't the first and won't be the last.
Upon seeing what AG did, Jose/Woodward decided to get another top class player to fill that No.7 shirt - which they now have.
At what point will fans accept that Griezmann turned us down, we moved on and he won't be joining us anytime soon?

Are there any people who genuinely think we should of waited for Griezmann instead of buying Sanchez now (because of a possible position clash with Lukaku nailed on for ST) or that we should of at least held onto the no.7 shirt for him?

I don't think that Antoine is better than him, tbh. Both are B+ tier, at best. Alexis was an amazing deal for the price. Griezmann isn't going anywhere for less than 100m

Yes but that was only for January, it goes back down in the summer.
If it's anything like the Liverpool apology over Van Dijk this means he'll be a barca player next window.
With the likes of Countinho going for 142m, 89m for Griezmann would be a bargain.
His link up play has improved. People accuse him of just scoring and doing nothing don't want to see other facets of his game. He works hard for the team which was his other complaint from Everton days. His first touch which has been widely criticised is not that bad as people think it is.
Yes he needs to improve further but he is far from a donkey or mediocre striker like some make him look like.

Not sure i can share your opnion his 1st touch is terrible v burnley he must have lost the ball at least 10 times due to touch, and his work rate goes in tiny spells seems to chase and harrass for 10 mins then goes back to normal of just moping around. although i do think he could do with a spell in the sidelines as he's played majority of the games.
Yeah dont see the denial as strange at all especially if Atleti didnt give them permission. Smart to deny it (even if theyve done it) and then just make the official bids in the summer.
I think we (Barca) already have a deal with him on personal terms, probably some shady shit as usual from our president. Bartomeu met with Griezmanns family a few months back. I have no idea how he fits into the team now as Suarez has regained his form, I think its better if we focus on the midfield and clear our some deadwood, Arthur is rumoured to be on the way this summer.

I know he’s not even completed his first season yet BUT I don’t see Dembele starting ahead of Messi, Suarez, Coutinho or Griezmann in the front three. I understand it’s a squad game these days but as Barca have shown for years dating back to the original trio of Messi, Ronaldinho and Eto’o the front players aren’t often rotated in the league or Europe.
With FFP in effect and the Spanish clubs not on the same financial level as our clubs going forward could spending £240 million on Coutinho and Griezmann so soon after spending £120 million on Dembele mean they need to offload a big/expensive player and if so should we enquire about Dembele to solve our long standing problem on the right ?

There's more chance in Martial becoming available now that Sanchez has signed for us. The answer is no.
I saw Suarez scored twice at the weekend, hows his form been recently because if he's back to his best I struggle to see where Griezmann plays for Barca now
