Can’t see this happening if somehow we pull of the Sanchez signing. Both players would occupy similar areas of the pitch and in turn likely stifle the other if fielded together.

It would it less pressure on us to sign him. But if he wants to come we should be all over it. The only other option at this level who might be available is Dyabla but he would cost loads more even if he leaves. Griezmann and Sanchez! Common. How can anyone possibly think that's a bad idea....and for 130!

I would think our wage bill might get too high if we signed Griezmann and Sanchez but idk for sure. Both would demand 250+ a week, then again we can sell Fellaini, Darmian, Blind, Carrick retiring and Zlatan possibly moving as well. Perhaps it's do-able to have them both on the wage bill.

We haven't signed either player and you are talking as if Sanchez has already joined us and AG is eagerly waiting to join us. Both are false.

IMO, Sanchez may join (though MCFC are in pole position).

With regards to AG, he made his choice last Summer, but some MUFC fans refuse to accept it.
It's like MUFC asked a hot girl out. She said "no thanks". So, MUFC are now saying, in a few months, she will say "yes".
Even when she gets married to another man, has kids and has moved to another country, MUFC will still hope that one day, she will say, "yes".
Someone described the AG transfer to MUFC as a turd which won't flush and I could not have put it better myself.

We have already attracted him? Last summer he was definitely going to come to United unless the transfer ban was held up, which it did. Second in the league, the only reason people believe United are having a poor season is because Manchester City are just out of this world at the moment. Up until the end of December, at which we lost a ton of points, United had one of their best ever starts to the league...?

Fair enough it doesn't look like we can pinch a trophy this season (FA Cup best hope) but this season is perhaps the best we are having statistically (not trophy wise) since SAF. I honestly can't see Griezmann / Dybala coming to United though if we do get Sanchez this window.
I'm a Liverpool fan mate

I dont know why signing Sanchez means we wont be in for Griezmann. From Jose's comments on Friday it seems like he was just identifying groups of players (ie defenders/midfielders/attackers) getting Sanchez now doesnt mean we wont be looking to get another attacking option in the summer, by looking at our attack this season i'd say we are 2 players shy of having a good attack.

If we get Sanchez, it would be much wiser to spend on a CM and LB than on Griezmann. I'm fairly sure he isn't that keen on coming here anyway, especially when there's the possibility of a move to Barca.

He looks like someone that puts the weather and city on his priority list when choosing a club ( nothing wrong in that if you're going to a big club BTW ). Barca looks like the ideal move for him. Same country, same league, no extra challenges or needing to adapt.

If we want to compete for the Champions League (not necessarily this season) we need to have world class players in at least 8/11 positions in my opinion. Griezmann in behind the Striker would be a huge upgrade.

You mean go back to a 4231? A 433 is far more suited to us (especially Pogba), so a #10/SS isn't necessary imo.

Precisely, Jose has reluctantly adapted to our current squad limitation and gone to a 4-3-3. But his favoured formation will still be in his plans when he acquires the right players - I think anyway! Though I do agree that Pogba plays much better when he's not in a holding role.

Yeah, it's all down to his personal preference, I guess.

As a fan, you should really worry about the wage bill. It's super important to do so.

I think if we get Sanchez we will not go for Griezmann and he will go to Barcelona. Might actually be we stepped up our interest in Sanchez because Griezmann has told he would be going to Barca.

I hope this is not the case.

When you look at the attacking talent of Barca, PSG, Real or even City you see quality all across the front of pitch. Sanchez should be our next step.

Right now we have DeGea, Pogba, and maybe Matic as elite players. We have shed loads of players I like with talent and potential but we need elite players if we want to compete for the EPL much less Europe.

Just my two cents... :).

Sanchez imo is even better on the right, so can't see why not, we still have some catching up to do on City's squad and a player of Griezmann's quality for £100m can win you the league.

-----------------Lukaku
Martial(Rashford)---Griezmann-----Sanchez

Either Griezmann/Bale/Dybala would complete our forward line-up, defense is pretty much sorted so all we would need then is a CM (with creativity) so we aren't screwed in the middle of the park when Pogba is injured or out of form.

If we get Griezmann and a new CM our front 6 could look like...

Griezmann---Lukaku---Sanchez
----------Pogba------New CM----
-----------------Matic-------------

With this as subs.......

Martial-----Rashford-------Mata
-------Fellaini-----Lingard-------
-------------Herrera--------------

Throw in a FB or two in the summer and we are sorted .

Apparently adding Sánchez ends our Griez pursuit, yet Barca having Messi, Dembélé and Suárez already doesn’t end theirs. Eh?

This. We've got two 32 year old full backs right now and darmian who's very limited. Carrick and fellaini won't be here next season either.

Couldn’t care less. Sanchez is better imho.

I would like to see him in OT but im happy with Sanchez. He's more than expect. Imo, after AS we are only two signings far from "ready". No need to AG anymore.

The Atletico CEO said it himself that Griezmann's release clause is currently €200m and that it'll go down to €100m in the summer. The article would make sense if it said that Barca are willing to pay €110m now rather than paying his €100m release clause in the summer.

It ends because Barca are all over him since selling Neymar

...................Couthino..................
Dembele.......Suarez...........Griezman

cocks out lads we' buying Messi - Time to get on flight radar... ITS ON
OK Its not on and yes Griezman will probably go to Barca or PSG rather than to us

Despite Arda’s departure freeing up the #7, Coutinho has been given #14 leading to speculation the #7 has been saved for a future player - Griezmann?

Maybe he just likes 14 over 7?

And like the above post, no room for AG at Barca unless one of Messi/Suarez/Dembele/Coutinho are moved which won’t be happening anytime soon (at least for another year).

Barcelona officially denies contact with Griezmann

When we see these suggestions with Matic, Pogba, Martial, Griezmann, Sanchez and Lukaku - which is a world-class line-up indeed - it’s incredible how strange it is seeing Lukaku’s name there. He will without a doubt be the weakest link in that attacking team if the other ones work as well as we hope. Imagine Kane or Lewandowski in that team, wow.

Could also over time be possible to play with Martial - Griezmann - Sanchez and drop Lukaku all together, making him a very expensive Llorente/Crouch.

With sanchez arrival, I dont really wish to have him in United. For summer transfer, I hope we can get CM to accompany Pogba Matic and RB/LB.
