The one I always took most issue was the Gribbin stuff as he blatantly tried to steal it from the likes of jb and Khoazany who had mentioned it 4-5 months earlier. And even then he still got it completely wrong.

Rojo is staying (unproven part is him moving to CDM). Gribbin is leaving football altogether (again not totally proven but some bits have come out around the planned released list and hes neither in that or had a contract extension. Not being on the release lists means he isnt registered on the FA database as active).

Any opinion that is negative isn’t considered constructive.

For arguments sake is someone saying “good podcast” constructive praise? And if not why is that allowed but “bad podcast” wouldn’t be?

I get annoyed at it because they are exploiting gullible individuals and pretending it’s all harmless and just a bit of fun.

If it’s just a bit of fun then there should be zero and I mean zero ability to send them money.

I miss Spoofex because a lot of what he said was so idiotic and obviously not true, it made for very entertaining reading. No current ITK has the balls to say Ole loves Rojo and wants to turn him into a defensive midfielder, or that Ole is desperate to sign some Icelandic teenager that no one had heard of who plays for a Russian club. Current ITKs just make boring educated guesses based on what they read on /r/soccer.

Of course they knew about that one. They let @ubergorp know 3 days ago but told him they had to withhold the info until an official statement. It'll come out in the day or so

How long before the whole “we don’t comment on kids” or “yeah IDK 5 said this was a done deal 6 months ago but we held off” start popping up.

Nope, no-one mentioned anything. Then again, there's a lot of confusion in the media about it, people saying its not done etc.

Their go-to excuse on being caught on these fake and pretentious updates is to point at reports in media by renowned top sources and say that even these supposed big guns didn't have a clue. I personally never felt like any of the top journos ever did any flip-flop on what they were reporting and largely stuck to saying that clubs were still trying the find an agreement. Whereas on their subreddit, they had already declared Sancho as a done deal about a month ago in fairly confident tone. The picture painted by largely renowned journalist was relatively always clear whereas the updates on this subreddit were all over the place. Not that I expected anything different or hoped I would find some credible info. I just enjoy watching/reading some cringe.

We will just wait and see how this plays out now, then determine the reliability and accuracy of reports afterward. People overreacted far too much to media reports, and there was a fair bit of ignorance of many reports that did validate information. (Deal agreed per Harris, 2 bids per Falk, etc). That being said it’s all over, tier 1s disagreeing on personal terms etc. It’s a mess. If there’s anything NEW that is deemed verifiable, important and worth updating we will post it.

In other words now the media isn’t sure we don’t have a clue and we don’t want to gamble on the biggest transfer as that would be a brand killer.

  • Will be challenging to get another CB in with the ones staying.
  • Still likely that Dean goes on loan and still possible Romero is also sold with United buying another veteran keeper.
  • Pogbas extension is done.

I can't actually fathom why anyone would believe them, it's worrying that people follow them even if the information is always false but pass it off as 'don't take it all seriously, it's just a bit of fun'. Those that have that mantra much be big fans of fantasy novels because that's what this is a form of basically.
