What do think of the (supposedly) imminent signing of Anthony Martial?

Pretty much this exact same story word for word came out a couple of weeks ago saying we also bid a huge sum. Nothing ever came of it obviously.
Your tagline

£37m?? I looked at the videos and he does not look like a £37m player. I really should not care though, because I m not the one responsible for the club finances and anything with a sign of quality will be better than what we have in that striking role at the moment.

The fee is ridiculous, but if some say he is the next Henry, it will be worth it. I really doubt that, but such statement gives muppets hope when their is little at the moment.

Very few. Which is why very few of them go for very large amounts of money.
This. Has to be special to justify that amount of money. I'm not saying he isn't cause I haven't watched him before, but he does look very raw to me as well.

I'm not sure a 19 year old kid is what we need right now but I'm excited regardless, the football manager muppet inside me loves a good 'wonder kid'.

I can't believe we'd actually spend that amount on a 19 year old who isn't experienced in the Premier League. If we actually do end up signing him it'd looma bit desperate no matter how much potential he has.

If he turns out to be great after a few seasons it'll justify the money, otherwise it's not. It's obvious that we're buying potential in this case, not a player who can perform to the level of a 37 mil player this season.

The pressure on him will be massive though, same as Shaw last season.

Ronaldo was still raw at 19 though. Messi already quite good though.
Not sure which Ronaldo we're talking. Pato was looking very good, wasn't he? Rooney had just looked one of the best attacking players in an international tournament... Neymar?

With Hernandez reportedly leaving to Leverkusen this is happening, right? Fee seems hefty, but I bet his wages won't be too bad at all considering his age. I for one am happy we are ready to go out and get the best prospects in Europe.

Yeh I get that, that's why I was fine with us paying near £30m for Shaw. I guess you should never judge a player on his YouTube videos good or bad, just his highlights video doesn't stand out to me.

How good is he then?

At the moment he is a good player, probably better than Hernandez but in 2 or 3 years, he will probably be one of the best strikers.

One for the future. We need a more experienced striker. Now, if we had RVP as well...

Nope, Fat Ronaldo has been the term for almost 10 years now.
That's even more annoying than real Ronaldo. A friend of my mate actually tried to justify it by saying it meant real as in "Real" Madrid, Cristiano had been there for about 4 seasons at this point.

Based on the clip he plays a bit like Welbeck. Should have just kept Danny

What's he like compared to Sterling? Sterling's a year older, had similar scoring records and just went for £49m. More of a striker than winger?

Should clarify that I haven't watched the French league since we were interested in Mahamadou Diarra.

At this point, probably easier to just say "not Cristiano". Was my ultimate muppet signing back in my youth

Look Monaco are not selling and I think that he should refuse the move. But while it's right that could do with a more experienced striker, that would absolutely stupid to choose an inferior potential instead of him.
