Literally stealing a wage these days
Steve Bruce subbed Ben Arfa off mid game after subbing him on (in Hull game against us). I doubt he would tolerate these performance from Martial.Their only option is Joel Linton so yeah, he'd probably start every game
His head is clearly down. Happens to some players. He's one of those that could move and find his explosiveness again in the right conditions I think.Hes so bizarrely shit. Just don't get how it's the same player from 2015 who looked frighteningly good at 20 years of age.
True, I don't see how Martial can justifiably start for United again unless we're absolutely bereft of strikers.Steve Bruce subbed Ben Arfa off mid game after subbing him on (in Hull game against us). I doubt he would tolerate these performance from Martial.
He doesn't have the mentality for top level. He's happy to drift through games, not bothered if he scores or not. Can you imagine him on the bus home, fuming because the team won but he didn't score? Or not speaking to anyone because Kane got a goal and he didn't? He has no idea how to survive with expectation on him.I think his mind is completely gone, no motivation or hunger from him. It seems he's just accepted he's a squad player and thats fine to him. Really think its better for us and him to sell him, always has had motivation problems but games like today's cant be accepted.
Worse part is that we pay him premium wages, I dont think we can sell him unless he take a big hit in the wages. I mean something like Alexis' deal, no fee loan while covering part of the wages and praying the other team takes him on a free.He doesn't have the mentality for top level. We'll loan him out in January (because he won't play for us again now this year) and we'll pay his salary for two full seasons before he's off our books. Quote me on this later on.Worse part is that we pay him premium wages, I dont think we can sell him unless he take a big hit in the wages. As long as they are for another team he can have as many games as he wants. Not for us.He needs more games. The guy lacks confidence and he’s not a ST.
He kind of has to play him, he's on £250k a week and has to earn it. He's hardly played as it is, if he doesn't get fit we can't move him on either.
Cavani with one leg would be an upgradeUnreliable as striker. Playing him only because Cavani not fully ready is becoming more and more taxing for the team.
Agreed, it's a fecking double whammy at this point.I don't think we should play him at the expense of performances and results. I mean we are already losing 250k on him, on top of that if we get these kind of performances it just makes it worse no?
Ronaldo was 22, Rooney was 21 (turned 22 later that year). Martial will be 26 in few month time. He regressed and still playing like teenage player. Just lack game understanding, and can completely drift out of the game.I thought he was average. Did a few good things on the ball, had a few decent link up moments with Sancho. But his efforts off the ball is just not there.
I think he's about the same age as Rooney and Ronaldo were when we won the CL. Don't see him becoming the top player he looked like he could've become his first few seasons with us.
Footballing wise, he really should move and be regular starter for some CL club in Europe. I can see him doing a Depay. Or drop off the cliff like Mario Balotelli post Nice.
Match fitness I would imagine? He'll say he's not sharp because he's not played.
It's why I've been so vocally against the £150k plus contracts we're offering to these 22-24 year olds, worst case scenario, they lose their drive and no longer care, best case scenario they do really well but then want £400k for their next extension. We need to get our wage budget under control. He didn't even try tonight...
Giving him 250k a week is going to feck us up like proper, there's no chance of any club in world football giving him that

No legs at all would be fine too. His headers alone destroyed plenty opponents in his career.Cavani with one leg would be an upgrade
I know, it's fecking woeful. If he was a horse someone would put him out of his miseryBy keeping him on when he wasn't offering anything it meant Elanga came on at LB, he's had as much time as Van de Beek and Matic who both looked more up for the contest than him.

He really wasn't though, we were just absolutely bereft of forward players so he had zero competition and quick feet. He's always been decent but for the last year and a half he's so poor it's unrealI don’t know what happened to him. He was a mean mean player in his first couple of seasons. Such regression has been happening to too many players at the club in recent years.
