No, it's true actually.absolute bollocks mate.
And this is nothing to be offended by. Rashford wanted his hat-trick, what's wrong with that?

There's not another striker in the world on a hattrick that would hand that ball over, designated penalty taker or notThis Rashford “letting him” take the penalty is weird. The guy won the penalty and took it. I would think the guy who wins a penalty or the guy who is designated penalty taker are the ones who get first preference.

OGS instructed that Martial take the penalty. Straight out of the bosses mouth. No, it wasn't weird, it was a great gesture.
The way Rashford understands the game and what a striker has to come through when he doesn't score...
Or he felt so powerful that day that he knew he was going to score his third anyway!
He did or not, Rashford was capable of doing that anyway.OGS instructed that Martial take the penalty. Straight out of the bosses mouth.
Rashford is still a saint
absolute bollocks mate.
things change during the course of a match. Many strikers would have taken that pen, no matter what the manager is shouting. Players who are confident to take a pen take the ball all of the time. Cheap shot to criticise Rashford, when there’s no need to, and we all got the result that we wanted.
People do it all the time. Heck Lukaku did it at inter last year with his first hat trick for inter on the line. He gave the ball to some kid who was making his debut. Messi done it(which makes Linkener claims that Messi wouldn't give away a pen even more absurd) and plenty of time. There's not another striker in the world on a hattrick that would hand that ball over, designated penalty taker or not
Maybe he's capable of doing it or not but if there is anything that particular moment showed that night was Rashford's selfishness, so I wouldn't dress that whole incident as indication of Rashford's selflessness given he demonstrated the contrary. He did or not, Rashford was capable of doing that anyway.

Also most importantly the pen wasn't Rashford to give in the first place.
If anyone has actually shown willingness to give away penalties to help his teammates gain confidence it's Bruno who have away one last year to Rashford ironically to help him get off the mark post lockdown.
Martial had yet to get off the mark this season and is the team striker, the moment he won that penalty I think most expected him to take it right away but Rashford fought it and wanted his hat trick. Ole then intervened and demanded that Martial take it because he actually understand that the team as a whole having confidence is better than individual glory something that had escaped Rashford in that particular moment.
Hopefully that was just the eagerness for his first hat trick and we don't see such display of selfishness again. That moment was a huge turn off. I've never been on board with teammates display of selfishness, ever.

Didnt Lukaku give Rashford the penalty against PSG despite being on a hattrick?
Didnt Lukaku give Rashford the penalty against PSG despite being on a hattrick?
I don't recall the sequence leading up to deciding who takes the penalty but I think at that point Lukaku wasn't really taking penalties because of his average conversion rate and that penalty was a critical one, so if I have to guess Lukaku never intended to take it in the first place and Rashford just felt confident to take it.Didnt Lukaku give Rashford the penalty against PSG despite being on a hattrick?
Somehow people find it offending and start an unnecessary drama again, idiots.Ole's words and video confirmation suggests, Martial was supposed to take it but picked up the ball and gave it to Rashford as he was on a hattrick. Rashford puts the ball on the spot as Martial walks away. Ole shouts. So Martial turns back as Rashford walks away.

Luckily, it's just couple of users on internet forum and not players, who actually get on very well with each other.
What's wrong and sinister in:
1. Marcus wanting to take that penalty
2. And Ole overrulling him (cause that's literally what happened) and giving it to Martial?
Some people think that by stating this (that it was Ole's decision) other fans want to make Rash look like a selfish player ffs No, it's just what happened, nothing more nothing less.
And all of this after Martial assisted Marcus in his 3rd goal.
Fortunately just among the fans, and not the two players. They seem to get on great, and I always feel they play their best football together. The Martial vs Rashford division runs deep. Thanks Mourinho!

No jealousy between them. Martial was okay for Rashford to take it. Rashford was okay to follow Ole's instruction. All smiles after the penalty and after Martial's assist for Rashford's hattrick.

Not even close IMO.Still our most important player.
Yes this thread are you blind or what , some of us knows what a proper footballer is.Feck me. This thread.
What is your point? We missed him.All these comments saying we have missed him. We need him etc.
Whose fault is it that he's not playing? His own actions cost us any chance of a comeback vs Spurs and because of his own stupidity we've had to play another 2 top 6 rivals without him.
He isn't blameless guys. He's the reason we are missing him.
