Freak
Born a freak always a freak.
Comes on and looked like he was already knackered.
fecking stupid post.
It's the Pogba/Marital defenders that are blind to the realities of the game, not the other way around.
Let's look at some of the best managers in the game to see what they value/valued.
Fergie - Ji Sung Park, Fletcher, Butt, P. Neville, O'Shea etc. None the most technically gifted but all played hundreds of games for United. Fergie knew how important it was to have workers in the team and actually saw the back of talented players without the work rate ie Veron.
Klopp - Has a team built with quality and hard work, but doesn't carry a single player on his team that isn't willing to work hard and press the opposition. His midfield is literally made up of work horses like Henderson, Milner, Fabinho, Wijnaldum. His full backs bomb up and down the pitch for 90 minutes. Firmino fights for eveything, as do Salah and Mane. Very hard working team, not one comparable to Pogba or Martial when it comes to work rate. Got rid of lazy players like Sturridge previously.
Guardiola - Inherits supremely gifted players and turns them into hard working versions of themselves. He did it at Barca with Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets etc. Try to win the ball back within 5 seconds of losing it. He had a Pogba type player in Yaya Toure, who he had issues with at Barca as he didn't fit his style. Same with Zlatan. No matter how technically gifted they were, if they couldn't fit his high energy style then they didn't survive.
Mourinho - Goes without saying. Had big issues with Pogba, Martial and others.
So basically, you're very wrong in thinking you can get away without working hard on the pitch. Technical ability often means nothing unless you can back it up with effort, especially in the PL and modern day football in general.
Yeah that's what I said in my initial post. It was a bad time to bring him on imo. Someone like Greenwood might have been better. The problem was that Ole shifted tactics and put 4 across the middle which stopped Young and Bissaka stepping in and picking off passes and not pressing. We retreated as a team inviting them on to us.
personally bringing on Greenwood might have been the better option or Martial and Greenwood and leave it as 2 up top but one Martial was only cleared yesterday so probably not fully fit so obvioulsy he is not going to sprint around like Rashford and James were but what he did do which was better was one moment where he took the ball down gave us a break and played a ball through to James.
I guess he’ll probably get 30-45 minutes next game as he continues his comeback.
Did his performance even warrant this sort of post?To be expected of someone who just came back from injury.
But I'm beginning to see if He's a player based on confidence, his lows and highs gap is so big. If We are to get the best out of him, somebody in the club should know how to motivate him. He isn't like Daniel James who looks strong headed and willed. Has a lot of talents but handle with care.
Yes, it warrants the first sentence.Did his performance even warrant this sort of post?
What the bloody hell is actually going on in here ?
No it doesn't. He got onto the pitch for about 7 to 8 of regular time with a performance that says nothing. Drawing any conclusion and especially coming up with these pre conceived so called short coming of Martial is ridiculous.Yes, it warrants the first sentence.
The second one is just my opinion over the course of the year, watching him and looking at his body language on the pitch. I'm an expert at it.
How to handle him with care exactly? To be expected of someone who just came back from injury.

"To be expected of someone who just came back from injury." How is that a conclusion exactly? I didn't say He was playing bad nor good.No it doesn't. Some of you are going on essays talking about effort, body language, lows etc when this performance didn't indicate nor highlights any of those.
Yeah and I agree with this. What's your point?Truth of the matter is that Martial before getting injured was in fine form, and now has just came back and most of us are hoping he picks up where he left.
Calm down. Christ. I wasn't even talking shite about him. If you want to call posters out, it is the previous pages you seek.random arguments about his lows etc sound like something one has been holding for a while and just wanted to spout whatever chance they get even in disingenuous circumstances which is the case right now.
By not doing what Jose didHow to handle him with care exactly?
And yet we're here again questioning him.By not doing what Jose did
How do you know? Did you ask him?
He’s been staying that he needed to manage Rashford better and rest him, was that all a cover story for letting him get a round of applause? Feckin ell some posters...
Can't wait for him to get back up to speed, he was overall our best player in the first 3 games. He was pressing hard, holding up the ball well and scoring goals. It's like people have forgotten the start of the season already.
It's perpetual scapegoating. There are many reasons for our poor form but Martial isn't one of them. It's got nothing to do with Martial.
Our fans are frustrated & will target Rashford when Martial is on form or do the opposite and target martial when Rashford scores a goal or does things right.
Alot of the angry fans talk about how the whole fan base had begged for Rashford to play as a striker & how Lukaku should not have been sold because Rashford was overrated. They completely forgot that the player that most fans wanted to play as a striker was Martial and not Rashford & bypass that type of knowledge to badmouth any player they can.
Pretty much this, needs to get back up to speed.Off game and was off pace. His touch wasn't there either. Understandable he's rusty after being out for 2 months. The good thing is he got a goal which is always good for strikers.
Hopefully by Sunday he's much sharper.
