Done well, but not sure he's carried out his primary task of tiring the defenders.

Of course, but this thread is about Martial. There are plenty of other places to discuss the two of them!
 
Stop comparing Martial and Rashford. He is juggling between them, which is understandable as they are both playing very good.

Rashford has better a work rate and he is also two years younger which people seem to be forgetting.

Exactly. If it's one or the other that's going to play, which José has shown to be the case, they're going to be compared to one another.

I hope some are noting his creative passing tonight. People were saying it was a myth when I mentioned it as one of his attributes the other day.
 
Phenomenal player. Do people see why so many of us fans got - and still get - so prickly over his treatment?
 
When on form, he's better than MBappe. He's better than any young player in the world. That Ballon D'or clause was put in the purchase for a reason....
 
Should've had five assists so far atleast. Still 1 goal and 3 assists ain't bad.

I think he's our best crosser in the team hands down. Repeatedly finds his man or put it in dangerous positions.

His decision making isn't the best, he starts games very slowly when he is picked, and watching him recently, I actually feel he is complicating his game. Martial has to prove whether he can develop and apply his own game. No excuses. Thing is, he is at his best when he keeps things simple, and he should utilize his pace and power more often. Talent is only as good as it's application.

Martial mainly plays on the left and then comes in from there. Most of his opportunities from here are going to result in a shot to the keepers left. Its not so much predictable, as in its just the right thing to do . Keepers cover the angles to their near post. Martial is correct to play the percentages. A shot to the near post is often blocked out of play, whilst a shot across the keeper can be pushed back into the danger area for a rebound, not to mention that Martial is also v good at finishing to the keepers left.

And yes, I do think he's our most talented player,
 
Limping. Just a precaution though I think, he supported that attack well.
