Has has the 3rd fastest speed recorded in the premier league with only Leroy Sane and some guy from Crystal Palace ahead of him. Rashford Isn’t in the top 10 but then that’s not to say in a race Rashford wouldn’t take him, he’s just maybe never gone at his top speed, although we’ve seen him running in to free grass often so I’d imagine he has tried.
Weirdly Rashford has said Lukaku is faster than him.
 
Amazing game today. From start to finish he's second close in MOTM after Pogba today.

Excellent header for the goal as well.

Mata is better on the right. He offers more and gives us better balance.
 
Had a point to prove and had a great game imo. 2nd best player on the pitch after Poggers.
 
I loved him and Rashford switching it up in the second half to partner Lukaku, and also overloading down Newcastle's left. They couldn't handle it.

He's better on the right than on the left. Depends on what his ceiling is in either position. Either way, he shouldn't be taking Martial's favored position, and is probably better than Mata or Mkhi on the right.
 
Great desire on his goal. He is enjoying his football.

Rashford is better on the left. He is not better than Mata on the right.

You seem to be ignoring any and all context. A comment on an influential figure in the team by a media shy person like Valencia is completely different to a comment by the young lads in the squad.

Martial is definitely faster with the ball, but I have no doubt that they race each other all the time during training. They know how they stack up against each other.

Going by players is always difficult. Do you think Lukaku is faster than Rashford because Lukaku said so and Rashford laughed and nodded?

Rashford is nippier and Ha’s lighter feet. Both are very fast. Martial surprised me today with some of his runs as he looked blistering. It’s been a while since he showed that.

This is why is was so important for both of them to do well. Rashford started a bit slowly but glad he recovered in the second half and capped it with a nice assist.

Now let's see what Mou does next. The ball on his court.
 
Having a very good season. Wasn't his best of games but he was very good and scored all important first goal.
 
Didn't have the best of second half but was our best attacker in the first half. Also showed very good desire to head a very crucial goal. He's coming up with very important goals for us this season.

Martial is coming back to his 1st season form. But I think that he is actually better now than before. I'm glad he's put his personal problems behind him.
 
Playing very well lately, i think the only difference from last season is he looks like he gives a shit now.

Played there for like 5 minutes so no wouldn't say so. Can you see though why it wasn't just a case of playing him on the right, but they deserve to play ahead of "one of mkhitaryan or mata"? Both Rashford and Martial are so much better then those 2, and they show it every game. Mourinho has his reasons for not liking him on the right, whatever, but they can still play together. Both need to be on the pitch in the majority of games.
 
Not his best game but he was still very good, kept making runs and tried to make things happen. Took his goal very well too

Hopefully he gets an extended run in the team now, alongside Rashford.

There’s a few people said, not his best game. Why so? If it weren’t for Pogba he was easily my man of the match. He was causing havoc coming inside and just sitting between the lines, picking passes, threading balls and then his defensive work was solid as well. What didn’t you like about his performance?

I just have higher standards for Martial, which maybe isn't fair. I thought his dribbling wasn't the best today, he usually does a lot more with the ball.

I'm not saying he was poor, just that he can play better.
 
@GifLord any chance of the Martial outpacing Yedlin gif? Supposed to be near the start of the 2nd half.

Can maybe understand about the dribbling. When he did get in that sort of position they did a good job of getting 2 across to him and having a 3rd to sweep up when he shifted it, but there was still some decent dribbles.

What I likes about it was just how he was linking play and putting threatening balls and moves together, he changed his standard way of playing.
 
Another good performance, he was always looking for the incisive 1-2 on the edge of the box and made some good runs, one of which got us the crucial first goal.
 
Becoming a very effective player from the start which is great to see. Seems to be breaking deadlocks with goals and assists. Overall performance wasn't that impressive.
 
He was quiet before he got his goal but played very well after that and made a lot of forward runs which we needed desperately as it was a bit too slow at times.
 
Very happy with his goal today, didn’t think he had that kind of goal in him
 
Defenders look terrified of him once he cuts into the box. Another good performance in what's looking like a good season for him.
