Angel Di Maria

Really really dislike him because of all his theatrics. I'd rather keep Nani than have him at this club but he's a quality player.

Cut the diving and cheating out and I've got no problems with signing him.

This. On his day he's a class act, one of the top wingers in the world. He's pretty much Nani but a bit taller, and dives and cheats more. But if he came to a United shirt and put in some great performances, then it'll all be forgotten about, and he'll be our scumbag that only we like. He's got a great left foot, is brilliant at long shots (which is something I feel we have missed from midfield this season) and is a great dribbler. I support this.

Bottom line is he is direct, skillful and a team player. He would improve not only the squad, but the first 11. If he is available it would be foolish to ignore him. I actually believe he could adapt straight away to English football due as his game is quick and lacks fuss. He or Alexis Sanchez would be great options to improve our wide and central areas.

Moyesy sign him up.. Moysey mosey sign him up. Take him in a heart beat. Can believe the price too if there number 1 target is Bale.

I would love for a player like Di Maria to join. Has United written all over it. Good player, good age, good price. As with most players, he has his faults (mainly being consistency) but thats something that the manager needs to help him change. Having a manager that will be around more than a few minutes should help with this.

If he comes though, surely that would spell the end of one of our wingers?

I assume if he came here, it'd mean two things, Nani is off (booooo!), and Young would no longer be our first choice left winger (Halle-feckin-lujah!).

I don't think the "inconsistency" tag being thrown around here, I don't want another Nani situation you bunch of pessimistic cnuts.

15m sounds about right given the usual degradation in value players have whilst at Madrid. Hope we keep Nani as well.

Can't see it happening, that'd leave us with five wingers. One of them has to go, and Nani seems the obvious one, unfortunately.

You'd hope (1st) Young (2nd) Valencia but you'd guess Nani.

Exactly what I was thinking; Young would be my first choice out the door, and if Valencia shows no signs of improving come January time, then maybe it's goodbye to him. I really hope Nani sees a new manager coming in as a new chance to take a stand and fight for first choice RW again.

Imagine Nani and Di Maria having a quality game with Kagawa doing some sublime setups to RVP who is banging in the goals....

Now imagine Nani and Di Maria having their off days with Kagawa being bullied by some hard man DMF and RVP firing blanks...

We can be amazing and shit at any given time, will be so exciting!

If Nani is to leave he needs to be replaced with a player of similar ilk, Di Maria would be one of those players.

Would be nice to see Nani on the left and Di Maria on the right and both cutting in and banging in goals in opposite corners.

Sounds a bit Harlem Globetrotters to me and anyway, when have you ever seen two balls on the field and play allowed to continue?

Usually that applies to older players who have had injury problems like sneijder and robben or havent been in the main plans like vdv. Di Maria was one of their most important players this season and despite being poor by his own standards this season, he's still young and its just one season after a world class one... So really the only reason to think he'd be leaving Madrid is if they wanted to put Bale on the other wing to Ronaldo. Hardly the kind of damning that makes him worth less than what they paid for him

Robben was 25 when he left Madrid while Sneijder was just 24 ... Di Maria is 25.

Yeah not much difference in age as Di Maria is basically the same age as all of them. The main point is that Madrid players tend to lose value because Madrid generally overpay and then end up selling for less.

They sell cheap mainly because any player they sell is considered a flop and let's be honest to the majority there's Madrid then after that is a step down.

If we can get both Di Maria and Higuain, someone will be super happy.

Robben was one of Real's key (and perhaps best) players when he left them

I can't see us offload him unless we sign Bale.

Fantastic player for us, great dribbler, fast with the ball at his feet, just a brilliant winger.

Letting him go feels wrong as it did with Robben though, I rather we keep him and sign a striker and a quality RB.

This is bullshit. Who the feck would tell Gill to fly to Madrid and sign Di Maria? SAF wouldn't as hes leaving and Gill was already in Madrid before Moyes even joined. Its much more possible it was something to do with either Nani's contract or possibly the transfer of Nani somewhere. Or that Gill never event went to Madrid we just read it in a crappy newspaper.

He's a very talented player, and we do love wingers, but he is a twat. You can't argue with that price though, if true.
