God this made me cringe:

Can't argue with Kagawa. He will really struggles for games, but RvP and Rooney will be fine. I'm not suggesting we start both by the way and that could be dependant on the opposition, but I'd rather see one partnered with Welbeck or leading the line on their own.

I always thought the signing of mata makes up for benching one striker, and he could easily bag us 20 goals, with a ton of assist. But the di Maria signing, is going to give us that acceleration we have missed for a long long time, and a signing that makes sense. We finally have a layer that give us the counter attacking ability

Yours even had too many players!!

FFS I had a BRICK WALL in place of a keeper, that means I had 11 actual physical living beings on the pitch. My plan is genius and completely fool proof.

There's only 11. I really do mean that we should have a proper brick wall in goal. I think you'll find that the FA will allow it...or not

Yeah that would be great unorthodox granted but we would definitely be hard to score against. One potential problem though. How do we move it at half time?

 I hadn't thought about that.

Curses. Back to the drawing board I guess...

This thread moves too fast for me to keep up . It's annoying that all these exciting transfer dealings occur while I am asleep here in Australia

You're all wrong anyway, the best formation is going to be.

---------------RVP
Rooney - Herrera - Mata - Di Maria
----------Vidal - De Jong
----Shaw - Rojo - Evans - Rafael
------------Brick Wall

Besides, it's not long until we're too busy jumping around for joy at the pictures of Angel in a United shirt!

Count the outfield players, man!

1 - RVP
2 - Rooney
3 - Herrera
4 - Mata
5 - Di Maria
6 - Vidal
7 - De Jong
8 - Shaw
9 - Rojo
10 - Evans
11 - Rafael

Plus the keeper Mr Brick Wall makes 12!!!!!

Ah, this is where we're getting mixed up. I don't mean Julio Brick Wall -the famous Portuguese goalkeeper who plays for Sporting, I mean just a plain old wall made out of bricks and stuff.

It's an...urgghh...mobile brick wall?

Is that picture supposed to be some kind of inside info?

As if it is the megastore has seriously fallen into disrepair since I was last there.

Not sure what formation we will be playing now.. We will probably shift to a back 4 line again - but will it be 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1??

My guess is this:

-------------DDG
Rafael - Evans - Jones - Shaw
-----Herrera - New CM-------
Di Maria - Rooney - Januzaj
---------RVP

RVP can be replaced by Rooney, and he can be replaced by Mata.

Pretty confused that some of you and Neville suggests that Di Maria should be used in a more central role - didn't think that played to his abilities? Some suggest he should be played in the "new cm" role...?

Another option would be a strict 4-3-3 - but we lack midfielders for that imo?
