Belgian national tv reported it, which means it is done for me, they have never reported a transfer before that didn't happen.

This "Mata and his lack of pace" narrative really gets on my tits. You'd swear the guy runs like Mertesacker with the way the media harp on about it.

He isn't a sprinter but he's very agile and has a quick burst that can take him past a defender and create space. I haven't ventured into the Rooney thread in a while so I'm not sure if everybody currently loves or loathes him but I'd fecking love to see Baldy get dropped and give Mata a run in behind Di Maria, Van Persie and Januzaj.

Thing is, you'd need a semi-decent midfield behind Mata to help which we don't have.

Yeh, will have to catch up on it all when we wake up. Might set my alarm for 20mins before kick off and have a look at everything.

That is always the risk if a team decides to build a squad based on 433/4231, one striker must be sacrificed for the system too work. To be honest, the next few years we will need to rebuild our frontline, as the age of rooney and RVP are getting on a bit, which makes this summer so important the engine room is strengthened this summer. But I stand by my point I do not think it makes sense to keep both kagwa and mata, and certainly the combination of RVP and rooney is just too slow, especially when you add mata into the mix. That is why the Di Maria signing was so important, we needed pace in this team

Can't argue with Kagawa. He will really struggles for games, but RvP and Rooney will be fine. I'm not suggesting we start both by the way and that could be dependant on the opposition, but I'd rather see one partnered with Welbeck or leading the line on their own.
