He was decent up until his mistake in the Libertadores final in November. Been a liability ever since.
Can't blame Flamengo, Libertadores it's South America's UCL, Pereiras brainfart cost them the final. I wouldnt want my team buying him if that happened in all honesty.

Wait, I thought we loaned him with an obligation to buy, not am option?

Someone else will buy him. He had a good loan spell, so a few clubs may be interested.

Given the number of players leaving United this summer I hope to god they don't feel Periera has to stay to boost the squad numbers.

He's not good enough, it's not a question of effort with him it's his ability.

This club just can’t shift its deadwood

They can, they just don't want to. Asking a non-European club, during a global economic crisis brought about by a 1 in 100 years pandemic, for £10m for Andreas was idiotic. However, we've done this many times before. We had to give away Rojo and Romero because we kept asking for stupid fees for them. It'll be the same with our pre-season Pirlo.

They forced Rangnick to keep Lingard, even though he has no inclination to play him, just in case. They're buying Sam Johnstone, just in case.

100% they're going to tell us that Andreas is 'like a new signing' when he comes back.

Why do United fans just make up history. How do we know this? Is it not possible Newcastle said we will pay 50 percent of his wages and United said no 100 and they said 70 and we said no 100 percent and then it collapsed? Is it not possible he was all set to go then Greenwood happened and everyone decided it was the best interest to keep him. It could have been a million different reasons. But history is written that the Glaziers rang one day from the spa and said fk you Rangnick you are keeping Lingard. We dont care. If you argue we will send an elite unit to your home.
Its not just you. Its everywhere now that it was forced somehow. Why?

Mcshane,Heaton, Ronaldo and now Johnstone. This club's obsession with former players borders to morbid

How many times has Lingard played since January? Does it seem like he was a big part of Rangnick's plans?

Rangnick said repeatedly, in public, that he didn't mind the guy going. Mata is now getting games ahead of him. Maybe the deal fell through because the Board wanted more money than anyone was willing to pay for a guy they can get for free in the summer? However, its quite clear that the coach wasn't bothered by him leaving.

This is how the club does business. We've seen that many, many times. We should've just got rid of Lingard, just like we should've just got rid of Pereira, for anything. Simply because they are wage drains. However, we don't do that because...reasons. However, whatever reasons they don't tend to have anything to do with football or what the coaches want.

Someone will pick him up at the end of the season I'm sure and even if they dont, I can't see why this is a big deal tbh
Chelsea have multiple players out on loan every year and nothing is ever made of it being a waste of money
Drinkwater is on £120k a week and has been on loan for 4 of the last 5 years

For some unknown reason he's still under contract until summer 2024.

Which only makes me think he had an extension agreed on 2020. Why the feck would we extend his contract on 2020? When it was past clear for years he wasn't good enough?

Money laundering scheme?

He signed a new contract in 2019 that expires in 2023. The 2024 thing is the extension. He was a regular in the team because the club was in a rebuild under Solskjaer and his situation under Mourinho meant it was sell or renew. The club renewed as we were giving everyone a shot that summer unless you were Lukaku/Sanchez.

Pogba's replacement sorted.
Darron Gibson needs to come back from retirement - that's a new CDM done.

People really thought appointing Erik Ten Hag would lead to real change.

Feel so sorry for the guy. He's coming from Ajax, which is run like a well oiled machine, to a club that holds on to Andreas Pereira in the hope some mug will meet a stupid asking price.

Within six months there will be 'sources close to the Board at Old Trafford' telling journos they expected Ten Hag to be able to make Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire into Frank Rijkaard and Danny Blind.

God, the rumours we have to endure until ETH takes over the reign.

 must be a slow news day.

If they don't want him then of course he's coming back. Murtough was simply doing his job.

You're in Australia? Good for you. You can get tickets to see the pre-season Pirlo when he arrives with the squad in a couple of months for the tour!

I thought Flamengo pretty much claimed that due to financial issue, they no longer wanted him.

So that's the only club that can sign him.... I see
