I give him shit but probably his best game for us.

I thought he was our best player against Rochdale and was alright tonight.

I’d of had him at 10 and Lingard right.

He isn’t a RW.

He’s decent technically and plays with passion and aggression.

The thing is, he can put decent crosses from the right. Put him in the middle and you don't utilise what is probably his best asset. And Lingard can't cross for shit and will always cut inside congesting the middle.

So long as these two have to play, Andreas right and Lingard middle is the least bad option for the team.

Also thought he was alright... Lots of effort anyway.

He is spectacularly average though... Like the most amazing thing about him is how average he is. Average passer, average speed, average height, average hair... Hell I bet he drives a Volvo and lives in a 4 bedroom semi detached house... With only one garage.

He is better than Lingard and Mata, definition of a squad player that is starting most games, that is the issue. I like him for the energy and good play at times, but he isnt a starter. But then again, neither are some of the other players.

Didn't think I'd end up saying this but I'm surprised we took him off. He's probably got the best attitude of any of the front six after McTominay, at least he gives a toss unlike some of the others.

One of his better games, worked the keeper with a decent run and shot, and played one or two decent passes.

Yes. I do think he has shown the right mentality after he initially seemed to get ahead of himself, scoring from corners and stuff with Januzaj. I don't see much else then pure disappointment in himself when he doesn't succeed and the will to get right back to it after. He might not end up good enough, but you can't fault his effort in trying to make it. He knows where he needs to be, only question is if he can get there or close enough.

Would like to see him play more centrally.

Have we ever tried McTominay and Pereira sitting with Pogba further forward?

He needs to learn some basic ball shielding and hold up play. It’s sunday league level to be honest. As soon as you pass him a ball in a tight position you know he’s going to do some amateur shit by rolling the ball and dribbling with little awareness to ball protection.

I can’t believe I’m having to talk a premier league player through this fundamental skill.

Luckily - this can be coached. Unluckily - we don’t have good coaches. Luckily - he has great technique so makes some form of use on the pitch. Unluckily - he’s a liability everytime else

Probably his best game of the season. Was unlucky to be subbed off. Would like to see him play as part of a midfield three rather than thrown out on the wing.

 Strangely, that's what make him exciting imho. He's sort of the Dirk Kuyt or Park type of player. At least, he'll be a very useful squad player if he keeps improving at this rate.

Work rate is fine but he just doesn't excel at anything.

WhoScorred have him at 68% passing accuracy. That can't be right can it? Thought he did well enough in possession.

Not good enough as a starter but he was good today. At least he tried to too something, the same thing can not be said about our ghost "WC" midfielder.

You do realize that the context for that label (even if you disagree with it) of Pogba is based on a larger sample size than 1 match right?

I'm still waiting for this WC player that came from Juve. I'm starting to think he never wanted to come here, money talks though.

He was actually much better when he played on the left against Rochdale although it was just for a brief moment. Instantly became more dangerous. But the problem is, literally all our players prefer the left.

He worked hard as always and played well, but he looks like he should be a rotational midfielder for a team in 15th or so like Villa or Newcastle.

And how does that relate to Pereira? That Pereira is capable of doing better in 1 match? Do you understand my original reply now? You're moaning about a label of Pogba because of 1 match in comparison to Pereira. Like I said, even if you disagree with the label, the people that do agree with the label are basing it on a larger sample size of performances. Why are you bringing up Pogba and moaning over a label? I don't think Pogba's had a good start to his season, but I certainly think it's possible for an inferior player to play better in a single match.

He has good technique and is good enough to be a squad player if he develops, more than I can say for Rashford.

Seems a little weak, and doesn’t shield the ball properly. Still see promise in him.

Whatever Pereira does, good or bad, he is always shit.

Caf is a retarded place.

"Ghost" because he didn't register any numbers tonight?

Oh blame that boy Rashy instead. Things would be different if Rashy scored.

He is getting better on the right. This pleases me

Caf couldn't see that because he didn't register any assists or goals.

For me, he is the best player last night. Weirdly taken off by Ole. I mean he is genuinely trying to copy De Bruyne deep crosses from the right.

It pleases me as well when he wanted to deliver that final ball straight at goal rather than relying on Rashford's dribbles/runs.

Ultimately not good enough. There's no quality there on the creative side, and not enough engine on the defensive side. Needs to be moved on.

I agree he's not done anything of note. Just thinking if it's fair to judge him as he's filling in a position he's not played in the past. A right-sided playmaker/winger.

He is far from perfect but he is useful and is unfairly thrown into the group of players like Lingard and Mata per default as being absolute shit. Like people could not wait and have made up their mind on him. He should not play as much as he does but if I had to choose between him, Mata and Lingard it'spretty straightforward, and he is the least experienced.

He's a midfield player learning his trade, he should be able to be a little more versatile and adapt to any roles required in the middle of the park.

I like him but he just lacks the quality big time.
We're not spoiled for options so I'm fine with him starting but half of our team is Watford level, it's scary.

Comfortably his best, influential game for us.
I still expected him to receive a second yellow, though.
He just fouls for fun.

Had a slow start with a few poor choices, but was overall one of our better attacking players. Showed he is quick and intelligent on the break and some decent balls across the box for teammates. He did make less of a defensive contribution this time.

He's not the solution to our right wing starter problem we've had for years, but he's also not the reason we are where we are. He's doing fine for a squad player which is what he will be if he's staying at the club.

Pereira did fairly well last night and has kept improving game after game. Want to see him played more centrally.

He's improving. He's been ok for a few games now having previously been consistently awful. He's very lucky to be getting such a run in the team. But you can see the confidence growing.

Perhaps by the end of the season he might look something like a United player.
